What even were the 90s?
That’s not surprising, but I think “wanting to drive some fun cars” wouldn’t expedite your application ;)
My parents have some old friends that moved to NZ, and it is not an easy/cheap thing to be allowed to live there permanently. I can’t remember how long ago it was that they moved there, but one requirement was that they had to have around $1mil in assets (if not in the bank).
As I’m currently in the market for a TR6; this is my favorite explanation for loving old cars.
No, its absolutely terrible ev-er-ee-where.
Any recommendations on a decent Chicago C&C (in the city)?
Where’s a decent C&C in Chicago (proper)? Keep in mind I don’t have a boxed Caprice.
I won’t completely sh!t on the Chevy, but the SS’s (say that 5x fast) production is being discontinued.
I was a banker.
I went full-Bond and squeezed 2 champagne splits and ice (in a ziploc) into my center console with two glasses hidden behind the passenger seat in my ‘03 350z when I was in college.
I agree with you that downtown areas in cities like Paris and NYC are hell for cars, and if you take one down there it’s you’re own fault. However, some cities accommodate cars better than others: Chicago’s Loop (my hometown) actually handles cars very well; largely due to the fact we have alleys, unlike Midtown…
Is the interior splatter resistant?
I bought an ‘09 new with an M short-shift kit and it was an incredibly fast car, but it destroyed tires. It didn’t seem to matter how cautiously I drove, but 10/10 would buy again.
I’m from a fairly well-off suburb of Chicago; so my lowly seven-year-old ‘92 Bonneville wasn’t much of a stand out. Certainly some BMWs, Mercs, and a plethora of new SUVs in the senior lot.
Every ounce of me says I should hate this... but I don’t. Inexpiable.
I feel bad ragging on anybody busting their butt in the name of improving road safety
