What a lot of things we use creepy for these days. It's like "vibrant" in urban planning jargon, it tries to mean everything at once while conveying little actual meaning. It seems like the author was suggesting a gender-based morality system for fraud, which is not something I buy into.

It's apparently pivoting toward more personal drama, which would not have been my choice. But so far I've eaten it up hook line and sinker.

Maybe our issue is what "creepy" means? In context or otherwise. I'm not sure it does a good job of delineating an extra moral dimension here. The first movie wasn't about gender conflict, it was about class conflict. This one sounds similar in that regard.

It doesn't.

In the original, she enslaved him first by hiring him to work on her yacht and then refusing to pay. Rich people skirt the 13th amendment all the time in this manner. That still doesn't justify his response but the movie never pretended it did. Not clear if the same dynamic is present in this version.

When I'm playing Axis & Allies as the US, I like to cue up "Shadows of the Night" for my turn.

Leeeeeevers!

And now my train of thought has reached Starship and derailed.

That's not how comics work. By 1979 they'd faced dozens of ends, with dozens more to come.

Oh, there's effort. But there's pushback too. Many in power still can't accept how poorly things have gone, how poorly they've performed. The scapegoat parade is still underway. If the party refuses to stand with workers, just how common is that cause? Pivot not forthcoming, not yet.

The solution to that is not running and hiding, never was.

Short term, they had a point. Long term depends on what we do next. Continued centrism leaves us nothing to stand on while Trump cherry-picks our base away.

That's part of the charm. Don't mind us, we're sloppy.

A picture of someone watching you at your computer? No, not at all.

Picket lines… picket signs… don't punish me with brutality… come on talk to me, so you can see

You mean power. What he wants is power. The attention bit is just a distraction.

No he was not expecting to lose. Clinton ignored the polls she didn't like, just like Romney. And the media did us all a disservice by treating Clinton's win as inevitable.

Bad cases can be shot down before discovery. Fishing is as fishing does.

That's not wild at all. What's wild is equating the word conspiracy with "not really happening." Every company on the NYSE fits the definition of conspiracy.
