I would characterize it more as Santa horniness, but yeah, trying to seduce Santa seems like a weird sentiment for the holidays.

Yeah, “Simply Havin’” is just incessantly catchy. If that thing worms itself into your ear, it’s going to be bouncing around in your head all day. I can see why people hate that song, but the Springsteen song makes me want to stick a sewing needle in my eardrum.
I think “the wall” my be by far the dumbest political talking point of my lifetime. I’m still baffled that there are grown adults that think that it’s a good idea to spend a fuck ton of money on something so utterly destined to fail.
I find the lyrics to Santa Baby much more eyebrow raising. At least in this song the woman doesn’t refer to her anatomy as an ashy old chimney filled with soot.
I think there is also a lot of physicality to the humor and just outright silliness that seems very old-school in retrospect. Comedy right now seems either mired in twelve layers of irony or the Seth McFarlane/ South Park style of just always going for the grossest joke possible. I imagine their reaction being similar…
The use of the word “products” makes me think that they are talking about store bought cookie dough. If you make dough with fresh eggs out of your fridge I would think you have a pretty long window (at least several hours) to lick spoons and whisks.
I’m fine with it as long as they’re criticizing them on their construction rather than their content, which they are here. It’s possible to produce a well constructed political/religious polemic but these are really crummy political/religious polemics, therefore they are fair game.
Like I said, the fact that a few exist I’m sure is true. The assertion that they vote in large statistically significant numbers is not a fact, that’s something you made up (unless you can point me to data that proves otherwise). You stating that you know a few is an anecdote.
I think you’re mistaking a personal anecdote for actual evidence. The vast majority of pro-life fanatics would rather die in a fire than vote democrat. I definitely do not hear any of them defending Planned Parenthood when the rest of their ilk are irrationally attacking them. I don’t see any evidence that as a group…
That’s not the point. The point is that the same people that “pro-life” are the same people that are against comprehensive sex-ed in schools, they’re against handing out condoms in high schools, they’re the ones trying to keep Plan B from being over the counter, hell, here in TX the religious nut cases tried to stop…
They’re not super villains, they’re just wrong. It’s why it’s extremely perilous to make laws and policy based around what people “believe”. And while it’s always a bad idea to lump people into one monolithic group there definitely is a portion of this group that is just in it to force their opinions/beliefs on others.…
I just looked on Amazon and you can get it for about $25. I think I paid $75 for it when it originally came out. Well worth it. Even if most of them are in 4:3 ratio. What other band has a Criterion Collection of their music videos?
You wanna have the DVD. The cool thing about the video is that in some parts it let’s you control which camera you’re following. Including following some dude on his trip to the urinal (you may want to skip that part). I recommend their box set video anthology too. Many of the videos have the same function where you…
Of course it’s not. I said as much. But let’s be real here, if I’m on a date and a woman invites me back to her place to check out her record collection, I’m not really thinking we’re going to check out her record collection. The acceptance of the invitation is not consent to full on sex but it is a litmus test to see…
How about the huge non-verbal cue of accepting the invite to go back to a man’s apartment after a night of drinking? I’m not saying that entitles anyone to sex, I’m just saying that shit is confusing.
He definitely has a warped sense of proportion. Maybe that’s why he thinks forests can just have small maintenance crews that can rake hundreds of thousands of acres of forest floor.
When we had to pry my grandmother’s checkbook away from her due to her dementia we found out that she was tithing to five different “churches”. Maybe she was trying to hedge her bets about getting into heaven but I don’t think this demographic is very good at spotting a scam.
You might wanna look up the Mariel Boat Lift, or the “evacuation” of 125,000 Vietnamese after the fall of Saigon, or the myriad of other masses of refugees that this country has taken in throughout our history. This “wave” of refugees is barely a ripple by comparison. We can disagree on a lot of things, but make no…
To believe this line of thinking you would also have to believe that Republican politicians build their careers around altruism and not to line their own pockets.
This is what I don’t get. Except for that thing hanging off the purse how the hell can you tell the brand or quality of that outfit? It looks like any other women’s business suit. How the hell do they know she’s not a Maxxsinista?
