Back in the George W. Bush days, I threw a Halloween party, with a mythological theme. I encouraged people to come as their favorite mythological figures.

My favorite was a friend who came as a “Compassionate Conservative.”

It’s a super problematic film, but I have a large soft spot for it, and Yaphet Koto is a big reason for that. (Also, the banger of a theme song.)
