I agree. But the NCAA bribing scandal involves Pitino and he always ends up coming first.

Is there any other player in the history of pro sports who could be both mascot and star player for their team?

If they actually had a conscience, they wouldn’t have railroaded this man while letting an actual rapist continue to commit crimes.

Many innocent men, women, and children have been put to death in that great democracy called the USA for crimes they were not guilty of. I have no respect for American justice especially when black people are being judged by it.

Not to mention all the people who were compelled to plead guilty to lesser forms of homicide to avoid the very threat of the death penalty.

It’s bail, not a fine. He gets the money back if the charges are dropped or he appears at trial.

Even if the cases of racism and wrongful murder of the falsely convicted were excluded (the vast majority of them), there would still be a plethora of white innocents denied their right to live.

For SERIOUS. I am raging like the gotdam Hulk over here.

“Keurig-smashing for Sean Hannity’s 1st Amendment right to defend child molesting Senate candidates” is a late contender. Even better, Hannity basically backed off his stance (several more sponsors cancelled, coincidentally) less than 24 hours after Keurig-smash memified.

The Louisiana “justice” system is one of the most corrupt in the United States.

You might be embarrassed to find out this way, but football is continuing to be played. It’s the thing that happens right after the anthem.

It’s a virtual certainty that innocent people have been executed. The problem is that we aren’t likely to hear about it, because once a person is executed, the appeals process, and any investigation associated with it, stops.

Hasn’t worked in 46 years. Has been wrongly convicted and stripped of his personhood and the ability to have a meaningful, free life.

and that’s just death penalty. imagine the stats for “regular’ crime...

The rate of erroneous conviction of innocent criminal defendants is often described as not merely unknown but unknowable. We use survival analysis to model this effect, and estimate that if all death-sentenced defendants remained under sentence of death

A matter of time? Literally been going on for over a century and most likely longer.

The Louisiana “justice” system is one of the most corrupt in the United States. They only released this man because they do not want to pay for his healthcare since he is growing old and in failing health.

I want to call these “scams” but I just can’t find any pity in my hearts for the cities that agreed to them.

With any luck he’ll die like that married man who had a fatal heart attack while jerking off on a gay cam show.
