I agree the placement is sneaky, and the language can be murky - but many of those fees are pass-throughs of fees they pay to various “programs” or agencies of the goverment that were intended to cover the cost of government oversight, expansion of networks into commercially undesirable areas, etc. Add to that local

Fear of competitors with a better idea (and those better ideas) is what built almost everything we have. Regulation invites complacency. Even worse is “planned economies”. I think the issue with Ting is tens of millions versus hundreds of thousands. It’s not a problem - until it is.

I don’t quite understand: People

Before they broke it up - they heartily endorsed it. Get the private sector to pay, then step in and mess with it. If it hadn’t been for the technological shift to wireless - the landline system would still be a cluster . . . As far as “breaking it up” - it just provided lots of work for M&A attorneys - since

Government research dollars built a rudimentary network and protocols. It did not string the lines, upgrade switches, wire homes, create hardware, etc . . . be fair about it. Bottom line is - the internet we have today was largely built in the pursuit of porn.

As for customers - it quickly became apparent that “all you

Same business model as the original Uber... unused capacity . .

Most of those below the line fees are mandated by the government for their stupid programs - until the revenue gets directed elsewhere...

Yep. Regulated phone service was great ! Now it’s so cheap - anyone can have it. I miss the days of paying $3.00 a minute for long distance....

“Free Market Nirvana” - what the hell do you think built the internet and the content providers in the first place ? Al Gore ?

NN is the smokescreen put up by the MAJOR providers of video content to keep from paying their fair share for the overwhelming amount of bandwidth they were consuming. Quite frankly, the

Apparently, they now own the Blink camera-based home security as well.... This is actually getting a bit troubling.

Thanks Joe. Maybe some day you’ll realize your article does nothing to disprove the disarming of the Jews (and other undesirables) by the Nazi’s.

Please point out where I wrote “I’m against laws of any kind because nothing works”. What I wrote is that “People will still kill people EVEN THOUGH IT IS AGAINST THE LAW.”

If you can’t understand the difference, we can’t continue this enthralling dialogue.

I don’t like people that spin their wheels and spend their time passing useless laws to make them feel like they did something, especially when they don’t even enforce the laws on the books already. And people who generalize about other people - don’t like them neither . . . .

How did yo miss the part where I basically said there is no need for the Israeli civilians to have guns because everywhere you look, there is an active duty soldier with one ? I mean literally, every where - restaurants, movie theaters, schools, hospitals. It’s a very vigilant country - something to do with pissed off

Did you read your article ? Did you miss:

Some join, some don’t. Don’t care. Not gonna change your hate - so good luck with that.

How you can miss the point about carrying weapons while serving in the Israeli military is amazing. Everywhere you look in an Israeli city, you see guns. If the citizens feel adequately protected, then they have no need to carry a gun of their own. People carry in the US because they don’t feel adequately protected.

The point, dickhead licker (isn’t calling people names, fun ? It makes the writer feel so much more empowered while sitting in his mommies basement !) is that crazy finds a way. I don’t care what law you pass.

Why don’t you learn some fucking history ? I heard they may have some on Youtube.

Yeah, after compulsory military service where they are required to carry their weapons and mix among the population in a daily struggle for survival and terrorism, I would guess at some point the average Israeli figures “well - in every direction I look, I see someone with a machine gun and a uniform I recognize - I’m
