I’ve never worked retail but my mom did and said they weren’t even supposed to say anything to people they suspected of shoplifting, just wait for cops/security.

Also I heard about these things called hormones and they are essentially tiny little robots that live inside you and they can control your brain and make you irrational and hysterical. That’s why women can’t have important jobs, you never know when those robots will ruin everything.

I thought he was English, at least I think he lives there now. Either way, that’s why I was wondering if they don’t have bail in the UK. Google says they do but I can’t really tell how similar it is. I do know he’s been to America and has American friends and consumes American media. It still seems strange that the

It depends on the crime I believe, some things have a standard set bail amount and you can get out before going before the judge. The pic in the first tweet shows the bail was $20,000 so I’m guessing that part is true. I just can’t believe he is claiming he’s never even heard of bail, how bizarre.

Cinemark, no! Hopefully this is just a move to get the families not to pursue the appeal and Cinemark drops this.

So he is saying he thought the bail was some kind of bribe or ransom? This is very strange. Do they not have bail in the UK?

This seemed so bizarre to me that the whole paragraph read like one of those ridiculous infomercials where they try to convince you there is a problem but really there isn’t. No FDA, none of those things are an issue for me, and I also don’t need special potato peeling gloves or a modified yak bak to record my grocery

“Do you eat at family restaurants that give kids raw dough to play with while you’re waiting for the food?”

I have shaved bare like twice, once just to try it and again a few years later because I thought I must have done something horribly wrong the first time and I should try again. Nope, it was terrible, anything rubbing that area was painful, I could barely wear jeans, ended up with little bumps everywhere for like two

According to articles with the full report he first reported the hate crime, police arrived at the scene and were unable to substantiate the assault, and that is when the vandalism occurred and he was arrested.

How could anyone keep a straight face in that situation? If I were the one getting married I think I’d have to be like hey man are you aware that we have three failed marriages between us? ?

I went to a wedding once where the pastor went on and on about marriage being forever and divorce being against God and any divorced people will go to hell. Meanwhile all us divorced heathens in the audience were shifting awkwardly and wondering why we were even invited.

Holy shit, looked it up and it’s the same in my state it seems. My ex used to say shit to me like “you know I can just do it anyway right, it’s not rape if we’re married” and I told him he was full of shit. Turns out he was right. Oh what a joy.

I haven’t read anything on this case except this article which kind of lead me to believe that the video was the strongest piece of evidence, since it’s all that is mentioned. But with all that evidence I don’t understand why they would even consider a deal, let alone such a good one. I mean how much evidence is

I mean I understand sometimes because of lack of available evidence you have to try to get people to plead to lesser charges. But surely there is a step between two rape charges and something that would give this guy nothing but probation? And a really short probation at that.

Yeah I actually knew someone who was arrested with a joint in his pocket. The original arrest was a minor non-violent offense resulting in only fines. Having the joint in his pocket when he got to jail was a felony apparently (on top of just possession which was a misdemeanor), and he got like 10 years probation I

I live in a small conservative southern town. I have heard that supposedly a local doctor where I am will perform early abortions if you go in and ask for a D&C and don’t call it an abortion or mention being pregnant. I’m not sure that it’s true, but the fact that there is even a rumor about secret abortion codes

I honestly thought it was illegal not to take your kid to the doctor for religious reasons. Yes it’s exactly the same, any personal belief that prevents you from taking your child to the doctor is not acceptable. If these parents had been using prayer as a remedy instead of apple cider vinegar or whatever, I would

But weren’t they also told by the non-traditional doctor or whatever that the kid needed to see a real doctor? I know I have read they were advised to see a regular doctor and still didn’t. Also if the baby was really so stiff that he couldn’t be placed in the car seat and was being given liquid with an eye dropper,

I completely agree. When a child dies because of abuse or neglect, to say the death is punishment enough is really devaluing that child’s life. Parents need to know their kids are not toys or accessories they can do whatever they want with.
