As an American, I found it very gratifying that the marches yesterday were global. I know that Trump is a global threat for a variety of reasons, so people weren’t necessarily marching to show support for us. But it still felt kind of like all of the support we got in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks.

For me, it was absolutely about solidarity. It was also about sending a message to Kevin O’Leary and Kellie Lietch. It was hubris from the progressive vote in the US that landed Trump in the White House. We can’t afford to let our guards down here. But this nationalist populism is a global movement.
