Girlfriend? What’s that?
I don’t mind a pricey Supra. I don’t mind it’s got BMW guts, in fact I’m quite supportive as you can see from my profile pic.
May be a step up in materials, fit and finish when you buy it.... but it’s a HUGE step down in lasting more than 2 years before it’s garbage.
It’s only an upgrade over a Miata if you were going to buy an automatic Miata RF and then never lower the top. At which point, I’d question whether a Miata is really what you want.
The loudest complaining always comes from the people who were never going to buy in the first place.
The implied intent to pursue a sexual interaction makes this the one situation when I feel it is appropriate to concern yourself with what genitals the other has.
Fuck off with the sanctimonious posturing.
Simplify and add slowness?
Im more curious about price. The inline 6 Supra is close to 60K. Even if the 4cyl is 25k less, who would want a 220 hp sports car for 35k? Personally, Id think this car would come in closer to 40k which makes it a really hard sell for me.
Well in that case....
I’m holding out hope for an auto news site not full of hand wringing pussies. Guess we will both be playing the waiting game.
I feel like if this was the concept car and then they released some watered-down, softened design that looked more traditional, everyone here would be calling bullshit and complaining that if Tesla actually had the balls to release the concept, they would have bought it.
The more I look at it, the less ugly it gets.
I like how you point out the over promises(legit complaint) but totally ignore the actual delivery. Tesla has accomplished almost everything they have promised. EVERYTHING. Not always exactly in the timeframe promised, sometimes over budget and more expensive than promised but they deliver.
It’s not ugly, it’s different. Very different.
They must all be at SEMA. I have yet to see one in the wild.
I stuck with Subaru and ended up with a BRZ, mainly because they hold their resale value insanely well. It looks great and gives me something fun to zip around in while I wait for something exciting to hit the market. The reviews are all true though, it desperately needs more torque and more importantly, a rear hatch.…
Car-heads will also consider the new C8 instead.
And any normie who’s suffered through the ownership of any BMW post-2012 will run far and fast from this thing.
This is a good take
I think the problem here is that you can’t actually market this thing to people who don’t know about cars. There’s no wool-pulling. It’s not like the Urus (I finally have an excuse to drive a Lambo!) or some heritage-laden tweedmobile (Careful with the Jag, darling).
Lots of car names became famous to normies for…
