To be in the 1% in terms of net worth, you need $8.4 million. A family making 300k could easily have that at retirement if they consistently saved throughout their careers.

No, I definitely think you’re right. I can lose weight just by shifting my eating habits and without doing a single bit of exercise. You’re also right in that it’s definitely an American thing to be focused on the RAWR exercise. The Brits where I live are all in the prime age group for that, and beyond the occasional

Osmosis Economics. If you’re in the presence of someone with a lot of money, that money will surely spontaneously transfer over to you.

“Waft over” economics. You still don’t get the money, but you can smell it if the wind is blowing in the right direction.

In the original Japanese ‘Ninja Warrior’, there was an an obstacle called the ‘pipe slider’, which was the only thing they ever said in English. If “pipe slider” stayed pipe slider I'm not surprised about the touchdown thing,

I believe the Russian member in The Assasination Bureau, Ltd said something along the lines of “Death is no laughing matter. Neither is Life.”

Good to see a group of Texans winning the Alamo.

Mine does the same thing but I find the gym so boring. There’s a great loop by a lake with workout stations spread around it. Let that count! Especially because it would cut my insurance premium in half.

I think I lost her completely when explaining BCS, AP poll, strength of schedule, and how sometimes there used to be two national champions .

College athletics, particularly college rugby, sumo and Judo, are pretty big spectator sports in Japan. Not nearly as big as college football in the USA though.

I liked how calm it was. It seemed like he was like “it looks like he might go for a touchdown” followed by a non-chalant “da” as he crossed the goal line.

Agreed. It's the consistency that counts. I go regularl & I've completely revamped my eating habits. It's slowly paying off. I recently looked at a picture of myself thinking I had done a good job contouring my face. Then I realized my face was actually noticeably thinner.

Not welcomed in Palo Alto?
