Yeah. It goes beyond being a Trump supporter — her anti-trans comments, for example, are just beyond the pale. She also promotes infowars stuff and the awful Seth Rich conspiracy theories :/

Also Jellybelly, and Tales From A Scorched Earth.

No. Do not see this. Wes Anderson stole the entire idea from my short film, “Aisle of Dogs.” It’s the exact same premise, but in a grocery store.

Politics Corner - Oscars edition. Kumail Najiani made a great point that should have been obvious to Hollywood for years, but absolutely wasn’t. He said he had grown up loving and identifying with movies made by and starring straight white guys, and there is no reason straight white guys can’t do the same - identify

Politics Corner - Predisent in a Downward Spiral Tries to Start a Trade War edition. I went over many of the reasons the Trump tariff plan is deeply unwise. The fact that this is truly terrible policy is still the top story for now. But I read more about how and why Trump chose this disruptive, destructive policy, and

Politics Corner - Hope Sinks, NRA Freaks edition. White House Communication Director Hope Hicks unexpectedly resigned today. In the course of a year, the Comms Director has been Sean Spicer, Mike Dubke (?), Spicer again, The Mooch, Hicks, and now ?. This comes a day after Hicks testified in front of Congress,

Politics Corner - Democratic candidate Linda Belcher won a special election for the Kentucky House by 36 points in a district Trump won by 49 points. Yes, you read that right. Her name really is Linda Belcher. (If that name isn’t familiar to you, you’ve missed out on one of the best shows of the last decade.) She won

The way to stop corruption is to end Citizens United and that ain’t happening anytime soon.

Politics Corner - 13 New Mueller Indictments and a 3rd Guilty Plea edition. Today was the day that ‘Russia didn’t interfere, it’s a Dem excuse’ was banished from the mainstream discourse. Even Trump has now shifted to ‘focusing on Russiagate furthers Russian efforts to create chaos and division’, only he used dumber

Holy shit, I was just gonna bring up High Maintenance! I’d never heard of it before, but saw a preview for the season premiere on HBO right before it aired, then checked it out and loved it! Finished binging all of the webisodes and first season this weekend.

Yeah, that was one of my favorite comments sections last year. And speaking of The Sopranos, the reviews they did of that back around 2011 or 2012 were pretty good too.

The TV section seems a lot harder to navigate to find show reviews too. I usually just google the show I’m looking for and “AV Club” and that takes me

I hadn’t heard the song or about the release date but I do like it a lot. It probably won’t get repeated listens from me though because of that irritating laughter in the background.

This column used to get 600-900 comments. Now it never gets 100. As Teti recently twote, sometimes a site can piss away a good audience chasing traffic.

Kinja gentrification has brought in a lot of humorless outsiders, creating a Caddyshack-like snobs vs. slobs dynamic on comments sections relating to news items. Any time someone makes a joke under a story that’s remotely serious, the moral outrage erupts immediately.

And I’m also really looking forward to The

The TV Club shows that I take part in are still doing alright. It’s the general thread and the newswires that I notice the depletion the most.

No, we’re totally back to being a fully vibrant community. It’s how we artists keep creating when times are tough.

The open thread is still pretty bleak and barren. Number of comments is still very low on most articles. Also far fewer pun threads, which could be good or bad depending on your tastes.

Rubble, for sure.

Isn’t MGMT’s new album still coming out in February?
