how is that possible? either way….enjoy!

synths or no this tune is classic queen and has the two defining elements of the band:
1)typically brilliant mercury complete with tight vocal harmonies 2)wailing crunchy guitars from may. just having some synth swirls does not redefine a band.

to be fair i have lots of respect for biden intellectually…but he definitely has a habit of saying whatever comes to mind, even if it lacks tact and political sensitivity (the polar opposite of Frank Underwood). Biden seems hot blooded and non machiavellian, not unlike (perhaps) howard dean….whereas frank is brutally

to be honest having the VP physically push a young woman in front of a train was not exactly the epitome of "making sense"…..and that was right at the top.

he could also avoid people desperately trying to say frank was dick cheney since he's the obvious "evil but smart VP" to many viewers….and bumbling joe biden is so obviously unrelated.

it definitely felt like frank was on the ropes a couple of times this season. i also agree that the show officially flirted with 24 level implausibility by having the vice president of the united states actually push somebody in front of a train. then again cheney did shoot somebody in the face so…..

agreed. the combination of day to night time lapse (with subtle camera movement) and the score are perfect.

damn…you're right. it was lennon, not dylan. either way it's the first thing that came to mind seeing the years go by at the end of this episode with the original killer never found…

no easy task….but that could be interesting. when i was saying i could not imagine a second season i meant one which had the same main characters…if they expand that then i guess anything is possible…

agreed…it goes beyond the plot structure of a seemingly endless investigation where years go by and the detectives visibly age and deteriorate. i'm just curious if true detective will also never solve the case 100%….i suspect not.

i've see some live footage…they definitely put in the effort. however i still think it would be beyond hilariously absurd and out of character for them to start stage diving a la fishbone.

i typically hate every annoying word from shoshanna's ever moving mouth….but i have to say her drunk mean truth ranting tonight was exponentially less annoying to me than her usual stuff.

one of the better eps of the show imo.
also i find drunk mean shoshanna a million times LESS annoying than normal sober prattling shohanna. unexpected.

i think it's also possible that hannah is something of an exhibitionist…that also might be true of the actress. she really goes out of her way to show everyone as much of her anatomy as possible, much more than any of her more conventionally attractive friends.

this show is so grim and nihilistic/fatalistic i'm having trouble imagining what a second season would be.

flawless episode wrapping up one segment (ie that broken up with the interviews functioning as voice over narrations). what this show captures is the grim but convincing idea of living with an ever receding, perhaps impossible goal, which reminds me a bit of fincher's Zodiac. True detective is a good illustration of

i have to agree. flat is exactly the right word…everything felt completely route. the action was completely generic, set to annoying guitar rock and replete with quick cuts, "action cam" , etc. i knew it was bad in advance but my curiosity got the better of me. if you're going to remake a classic you had better

i donno man i heard that the viola player in arcade fire stage dives during almost every single song….watch out youth!

This is an f-ing morbid feature.

that is for sure. i cannot imagine anything more terrifying….totally naked and without a weapon and two fully clothed assassins armed with carpet knives earnestly trying to kill you in an enclosed space.
