i always think that if such matters are becoming evident it means the show is not compelling enough to distract the viewers from them…and in this case it's definitely true.

the guitar solo alone in black hole sun is worth more than jeselnik's entire career.

get shorty is definitely entertaining….i guess his cameo in thin red line was NOT too distracting because i barely remember it….best malick tho (imo).

never bothered with that one…maybe it's time….

This is a perfect example of a show/film that i could reliably enjoy in a mild sort of way….that simply did not connect to viewers at large.  something about the laid back tone/rhythm seemed like a sure fire strategy for non-renewal.

just gonna ignore this and re-watch Blow Out, Pulp Fiction, and maybe Carrie for good measure.

dang it…seems like the most interesting movies are the ones that never get made.

jason everman: too moody for soundgarden AND nirvana.
that is an achievement all by itself.
that said i am always a little wary of the term "war hero" especially in the post 9/11 world.  

i had high hopes for this show….but alas it is just full on showtime-itis in full effect.  bleh.
