i was definitely fascinated by the extra material but there is no doubt it was a better film without it. i'm glad we have both versions.

it's a very odd thing. I definitely got the impression that milius was practically running around the set beating his chest yelling "kill the damn gooks! U!S!A! U!S!A!" and coppola was trying to make this artsy anti war statement and what we ended up with was this weird hybrid film.
meeeeeeeh.
meh.
In the Cronenberg film Existenz jude law digs a bullet (actually a human tooth used as a bullet) out of jennifer jason leigh's arm with a pocket knife. not exactly life threatening but definitely gnarly. also who can forget the "surgery" at the end of dead ringers…ug.
i'm definitely a mirren fan. she was awesome in prime suspect.
i have to say i am a bit surprised to read in this review that in mamet's version at least "the facts and the evidence are overwhelmingly on Spector’s side".
this means that either I am completely ignorant about this case or that Mamet is trying to make an eccentric martyr out of a murderer.
either way…this should be…
it's funny because it's true….or at least it's funny that it's true in my case.
bob's burger's still good for a chuckle tho.
disagree.
i missed it…was he married for a second?
one of the most important non soloing guitar players in rock. most songs are built from the melody/words down….with the smiths it seems like their best tracks are all built from the guitar up.
i believe it…that guy takes his guitar layering seriously!
guitar sounds good as always.
if spring breakers is as crushingly boring and pointless as trash humpers i will be very disappointed. i expect cheap thrills with an OTT performance by "the franco" in corn rows.
it can be garish and stupid and exploitative…but i am really hoping it is not boring.
if only…i saw it…or at least the first half. it is pretty much exactly as stupid as it sounds.
@avclub-4f18f486a356810b3ef8008243bcba7a:disqus Robert Smith is the "anti-banter".
it really sounds like he could have calle this film trash humpers as well.
screw it….i'm going to end up seeing this garbage anyway just out of sick curiosity. you win korine.
indeed. they were completely banter free by end of ep…..
I have not seen this one in a while but something i seem to remember as being really cool was the use of pedal steel guitar on the soundtrack. very haunting.
it's true this film is definitely ragged at the edges but perfect in it's own slightly goofy way.
ha! indeed.
