nothing can stop wes anderson's use of 60s pop songs….if he made a movie about prehistoric man they would be walking in slow motion to the rolling stones.

Reality check: the show is not that great…felt like a superficial cheesy soap from the first scene.  cliched love triangles abound and in all honesty connie britton was more convincing as mrs coach.  the live autotuned vocals i also find annoying.
or maybe i'm just bitter cause robert altman covered this territory with

with the extreme lighting he looked like he had no eyes.  freaked me out.

c'mon that was a strong hour of tv….maybe not the most plausible thing ever but when it's that strong you can just go with it.  also if you figure brody was turned one way, then another….he could be turned back.  he is a weakened and confused individual who is obviously vulnerable to mind control.

damn that was compelling.  carrie is a bad-freaking-ass.
just when i am questioning the whole premise of the show and the relationship between the two main characters….bam…they pull me right back in.
impressive ep.

looks like a good bunch of programming!
Treme, Homeland, Boardwalk, Walking Dead, Good Wife….ranging from tolerable to damn good!
no 1st world problems here.
that hurricane might cause some 3rd world type problems outside/inside tho….east coasters batten down the hatches!

ha! just to be clear….i ALMOST fainted and barfed…..it was NOT that i both barfed AND fainted and that they were not quite simultaneous.  either way…that scene was harrowing.

i don't know if "scared" is the right adjective but when i read that scene in Stephen King's Gerald's Game where the protagonist skins her hand like an orange trying to take off the handcuffs i almost simultaneously fainted and barfed….in public no less.  well done Mr. King…..

you can always count on good ol frontline for some spielbergian uplift!
seriously tho…frontline is great.

random connection: when they put the black bag over brody's head i had a weird flashback to when the same thing happens to that (innocent) woman in Children of Men. disturbing resonances.
