sadly it is painfully unfunny throughout. the obvious cost on display makes it even worse than it otherwise might be. i would be curious to see what the fine folks at Troma entertainment could have done with a script like this and their usual line up of non actors, non directors, non set designers, etc.

i agree. in all honesty i've never seen him in a film before but he seemed to fit this strange role very well. from certain angles he looks dead…and this plays right into the narrative. he also has a way of delivering the heightened "delillo-ese" lines which sounds hypnotized and uncomprehending….which again suits…

just saw it….anyone who is into cronenberg, acting, characters, cinematography, dialog, etc….just ignore the "C" and go see it. it is lean and brutally focused without a single unneeded shot, cut, line, or note on the soundtrack (which is mostly silent). the tone, if you can let yourself get into it is hypnotic and…
