I really do think the stalk for turn indicators is both intuitive and peak design. It holds the actuating movement close to where your hand naturally lands on the wheel, the movement you would make to initiate the turn is in the same direction to operate the stalk, and - importantly - it doesn’t clutter up the wheel

If you’re methed up enough to be either of these guys, it’s probably more accurate a quote than they would have been able to manage.

First one I’ve heard of.

Bummer.

I have never seen the movie or read the book.  Reading the Wikipedia article, kinda.

I’m not at all surprised to hear that a cat thief got shot, I’m not surprised to hear that a parolee had a gun he wasn’t supposed to, I’m shocked it took as long as this for someone to get shot for cat stealing and the whole dragging the body behind the truck is just nuts. I’d bet money that Campbell said his victim

I dug into the Isetta design; I’m not sure what you’d call that.  Two cylinders, one chamber, many questions.  Interesting approach to the age-old problems of two-strokes.

I thought the Isetta was a one-lunger.

...assuming the kit has any value to the next guy. I think it’s a big detraction from the car’s value.

That quote resonates with me. I like it a lot.

There’s a lot of things in this world I won’t buy, and oh look, here’s another one.

It might cost $16K, what it’s worth is another matter.

I’d bet dollars to thongs there’s at least one Asian girl working the pole, going by the stage name “Suzi Suzuki.” Real name something completely mundane and with a California accent, but for the sweaty anime fanboi rubes she puts it on: pink pigtails, outlandish thick Japanese squeaky accent, hot pants and Sailor

Hint: it wasn’t a car.

I always enjoyed how Niven would use magical features but give them plausible real-world limitations. Gil’s “arm” was limited to how long his original arm was, and it wasn’t strong - but “arm’s reach” had new connotations. While looking through a vidphone screen, if something in the screen appears to be about an arm’s

I want to refer you to the (not yet late) great SF writer Larry Niven. Niven invented a Really Big Thing when he came up with the midway step between planets and Dyson Spheres: the Ringworld. We owe Halo to Niven.

Down with the sickness.

And of course never mind that the combustion math works out that you can really pour the methanol through an engine compared to gas, so despite its lower energy content you can make an engine of the same size pump out as much as 2/3 more power.

Thank God you mentioned this because I was just sitting here reading that, brows furrowed with my trademark “Og no understand” face.
