An LT1 bolted up to a 700R4 would provide a deeper bottom gear and a nice overdrive for highway cruising, along with a juicy power bump beyond the Wraith’s factory “adequate” rating. Drivability would improve noticeably. The big Roller will actually step out a bit at the stoplights.

I think you may not be familiar with the SD4. It’s ostensibly a Duke but built to deliver far greater output than regular Dukes.

This “solution” pops its head up every once in a while, usually waiting for a fuel or economic crisis. This time it’s greater awareness of the climate crisis so I guess we were due.

+1 for the 4EAT.  It was solid.  I had an early-days EJ25 though, so there was always something going on.  After about 160,000 miles I got fed up and sold it.

That makes me think your spindle must be worn; maybe the nut has been loose for a while and the arm socket has been wobbling for a while? Mine are old and still don’t wiggle even slightly when the nut is loose. Getting them off takes a careful grip with the Vise-Grip and tapping it up.
