Season 2 was way better than Season 1, and Season 1 was already better than the books (possible hot take). Most of the actors are growing quite well into their roles.

Egwene was already a co-protagonist along with Rand, Mat, Nyneave, and Perrin in the books. But it definitely feels like the show has elevated her even more in terms of co-protagonist status, and that was a wise choice because Madden is great.
- Ezra just magically escaped the Eye of Sion+Chimaera ISD without Thrawn and Great Mothers noticing
Ahsoka had to be left behind to deal with whatever Mortis gods related thing that Baylan Skoll has been looking for. Possibly Abeloth or her equivalent in the Filoniverse.
It’s pretty obvious his cargo is a cadre of Nightsisters in stasis. Given they’re all coffin shaped, they referenced Thrawn having “woken up” the Great Mothers (which implies stasis) and they went straight to Dathomir.
I’d say it’s a pretty clear idea that Baylan is looking for the “Mortis Gods”. They literally showed massive statues of them where he is. If you watched the Clone Wars series, it makes a lot of sense. The “Daughter” not being part of the statues but her Condor following Ahsoka and showing up at important milestones…
Good series. I know a traditional unfinished season finale isn’t what people want but I enjoyed this.
Well, it was a season finale. It was already announced that there would be a movie based loosely on Heir to the Empire with Thrawn, so that wasn’t getting wrapped up this season. Keeping Baylan, Shin, Ahsoka, and Sabine there also lets them tell a separate story that could be entirely standalone or laying groundwork…
What kind of genius comes up with THAT plan when you’ve got serious air power against unprotected people on the ground?
A few things:
They’ve never talked about a second season, and seemed to indicate pretty hard that the current storyline is the setup for what we’ll see in Filonis film (assuming they ever manage to make another Star Wars film).
I assumed it was a one-and-done leading into the movie or a storyline on The Mandalorian, but I absolutely won’t say no to more.
All I can think is, this is less an amusing anecdote and more an indication of how much of an asshole Steve Forn must be.
Twin Twains was the hardest I’d laughed at this show ever. Different strokes I suppose!
Its a given that almost EVERY culture would have some sort of Intelligence Services/Agency to monitor threats (internal and external) to its defenses.. they don’t need to be militaristic for that to happen.
Peace doesn’t mean the absence of a military, it just means its the last tool to be used, not the first.
And lets…

First of all, I think “wej Duj” has to be one of the best episodes of Trek I’ve ever seen, if only for the cut to the Borg cube at the end (not the only reason, but damn) which made me laugh out loud through the entire credits. The only joke that they’ve done since that landed nearly as well was Boimler going into his…
Dr. T’Anna knocking back a huge drink before trotting off to surgery got one of my biggest laughs of the season so far, but I agree it was otherwise an uneven episode. Lower Decks riffing on Lwaxana Troi antics should’ve been a lot funnier.
Now that you know it’s her, the next time she speaks you’ll be like how did I not know it was her? I didn’t know it was her when I first watched but I rewatched the episode and you can totally hear her distinctive voice once you know.
“It almost seems like a kind of “soft” racism to always associate the two, an expansion of the “Magical Native American” trope, but there’s no reason the same wouldn’t apply if they were exploring ruins of a white culture.”
