The P-38 is the Naboo N-1

The AC-47 & 130 are heavily armed, but they’re designed as close air support. They need escorts to protect them from air to air attacks. The problem with any warplane analogy is if they’re fast & maneuverable they’re purpose built. You can’t soup up a plane the way you do a car (or a spaceship, apparently) because the

lets never forget its just a tug boat for pushing cargo. BJ and the Bear makes more sense when thought of in this context.

And yet, many places now have signs up saying they take bitcoin. A currency is entirely dependent on whether people take it as such. If you invent a currency tomorrow and convince at least one other person to take it in return for goods or services, it’s money. If you can convince someone to change your currency for a

Quite literally, in this case.

Amen.

That might be a tad of an exaggeration, but the jist of it is true. A better way to say it is, a FWD with snows is better than a WRX with all seasons, aka “NO seasons”.

Absolutely! Subaru salesperson here, constantly explaining that “AWD gets you moving; stopping in snow (and turning) comes down to the tires”.

As someone who works at a Toyota dealership, I can’t tell you how many people say “Who needs snow tires? I can just get AWD and be fine!” or “I really need AWD for Winter.”

I’ve pissed a lot of customers off reminding them it’s All Wheel DRIVE, not All Wheel STOP. The belief that All Seasons, quite literally, work in

I’ll admit it, I imagined her as white. Mostly because I saw the first movie before I ever read the books and I’m white. Our natural tendency is to fill in vague descriptions with things we know best (it’s basic psychology).

I’ve consumed a lot of commentary about this issue, and the most common advice is to write those characters if it’s important to your story to do so.

Ok let’s clear something up though. Did they say that you’re characterizations of those people of color in women were bad as in you had white saviors or you follow the noble savage Trope. or did they just say completely stay away from p o c and women cuz those are completely different things. Cuz if you wrote a black

I go the opposite. I think you absolutely should write PoC characters, and women, and LGBT characters. You should write them because it forces you to research them and begin to understand them.

I think Taika Waititi had a lot to do with Ragnarok’s diversity... He was adamant about hiring crewmembers from Maori and other indigenous groups, I figure this continued with extras and casting in general?

I try not to comment on Root articles, as it’s not my space to speak, but I’m making an exception as this article is levied directly at me.

I recently got around to reading the “Foundation” series by Asimov. The most shocking thing to me about reading a book that was written almost 70 years ago was the almost total lack of female characters. I was like 100 pages into the first book before a woman was even mentioned! To be fair the women in the books,

“I fought to protect the freedoms you enjoy in this country, so you better stop fucking enjoying them!”

That one flew right over your head...

Prepare yourself for Hillary supporters that are indistinguishable from Trump supporters in their inability to admit their candidate was/is an asshole.

@earthgirl: I actually disagree. I think Ted is actually a nice guy, but can sometimes exhibit passive-aggressive Nice Guy tendencies. He does actually care about Robin's friendship, both before and after they broke up. He doesn't guilt her about it, revile her for rejecting him, or sit around moping, trying to prove
