It’ll be interesting if they tone it down a bit since its on CBS and not cable, though its not like they got too mature anyway. The panel is what’s most important. As long as they get people like Ron Funches, Nikki Glaser, Kyle Kinane, Milana Vayntrub, it’ll be worth watching

All the way down. Religion, politics, etc. Extremists suck.

I see your Father of the Pride and raise you an Allen Gregory.

I don’t warm to be an armchair psychologist, but my take on Harmon is that he’s a type of autistic where he has very limited self-awareness in the moment, but once he realizes why and how he’s doing things wrong, he is hyper-conscientious about it. He’s also definitely hard to work with, but I’m guessing (likely being

Harmon is undoubtedly an asshole at times, but doesn’t want to hurt people (he’s just self-centered, which goes far in Hollywood).  Roiland, sadly, seems to have more of Rick in him, and just rolled over people putting his own damn desires first.

This is pure speculation, but I consider that when called out for abusing his power in the writer’s room he came clean with a direct, self-reflective apology. I think maybe while Harmon’s a super messy individual, he knows that doesn’t fly in the workplace and is open to accountability

Everything’s die hard fans are toxic (Star Wars, the comic universes, etc). The rest of us normals shouldn’t always have to apologize or qualify liking something.

I’m a huge fan of the show and never wished for its cancellation, but I certainly had my doubts/questions about what it would look like going forward. I was pretty firmly in the camp that this was going to really impact the feel and writing of the show. Seeing that at this point all he’s really doing is voicing

Asshole...like a fox!

well he was right, the voice acting did safeguard his job for many years and if he wasn’t abusive it’s clear he would still be coasting on this for at least another decade.

Stunning when there is a show where Dan Harmon is not the asshole. Is that why Harmon intentionally works with Chevy Chase  & this guy, so he doesn’t look so bad by comparison?

Guess all those “cancel the shows cause it’s his baby” people need to be quiet and step back now.

Pacifist Worf is the best part.

I’d just like to say I never shat on Guy Lombardo.

Hell, we had a president just like him

I usually spot errors in my tweets a few hours later when 1 person likes it.

You, sir, deserve to be a casting agent.

Not how I pictured Francis Xavier Flynn, but I’ll watch this. I hope it’s good enough that they can get to Flecth’s Forntune and Fletch and the Widow Bradley.

The year before this cameo he had a small role in Undercover Brother where he basically portrayed the personification of whiteness, and his previously-untapped comedic potential was on full display. While not directly playing himself, he was still already poking fun at his (at the time) public image.

The Larry Sanders Show also deserves a lot of credit for warping the celebrity cameo; I think you can find plenty of examples of cameos subverting our public conception of a celebrity since the cameo began, but the NPH-esque, deliberate warping of a celebrity’s public persona has strong roots in Sanders.
