Ah yes, the NCU multiverse.
Ah yes, the NCU multiverse.
Maybe she should be paying for famation instead of suing for defamation, since I doubt many people outside of the chess world had ever heard of her until that very moment.
Yeah, he made a dumb joke in poor taste and has apologized for it repeatedly - I suspect a lot of the outrage over the joke is also not really genuine but rather more like the James Gunn “cancellation” where it was people pretending to be offended by a bad joke to “own a lib.”
“I’m just shocked that people keep digging it up, even today.”
Most of the whining I’ve seen about Jennings isn’t even about that one (admittedly bad) tweet, but is instead mostly from whiny MAGA people who don’t like that he’s overtly anti-trump.
It was a really bad joke, and he apologized for it... several times over the years. He admitted that it was a lame attempt to sound edgy, and he always regretted it. I’m just shocked that people keep digging it up, even today.
I’d bet it’s just a trial to see if Jennings can pick up support once viewers get comfortable with the idea. The guest host wars must of been a nightmare for producers. In yesteryear, they relied on small focus groups. Now they have millions of tantrums in the twitter-verse shouting looney personal demands.
Just give it to Jennings, jesus, it’s a dumb tweet, still better than Bialik’s victim blaming and hocking junk science (plus being on TBBT, a sin no one can be forgiven of).
I never was for him taking Letterman’s mantle. They’re just both very different, Colbert I consider more of an actor (and an amazing one) than a comedian.
Also, never forget when Regis talked Norm out of winning the million on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
Joe Biden is funnier than Adam Carolla.
The logical, rational part of me knows that it’s just coincidence, but there’s a small part that think there’s something apropos/beautiful in that in less than 6 months, we lost arguably the two greatest late-night talk show guests of all time in Charles Grodin and Norm Macdonald. I like to think they’re now both “up…
I’ll never forget him on The Daily Show after Steve Irwin died.
NORM: You shouldn’t be shocked when a guy named ‘The Crocodile Hunter’ dies. “You’ll never believe who died! The Crocodile Hunter!”
JON STEWART (wheezing): Please don’t make me laugh at this!
Yep! Yaphit, one of the ship’s engineers.
“And the number one band in America this week... Better Than Ezra.
YouTube won’t let me post the Courne Thorne-Smith one, which is just as good (“Chairman of the Bored!”)
I think one thing that Norm said about his battle with cancer: “I’m pretty sure, I’m not a doctor, but I’m pretty sure if you die, the cancer dies at the same time. That’s not a loss. That’s a draw.”
Fucking sucks.
I worked on Mike Tyson Mysteries and sadly never got to meet Norm, but everyone I know who did really liked the guy.
