On my Roku stick, when I logged in the first time all I got was a welcome screen. What I did to fix things was go back to the main Roku menu, select the HBO Max app without launching it, then press the asterisk button the remote and select Update. It updated the app immediately and it worked fine after that.

That actually makes perfect sense. When using a browser, the software is downloaded each time you access the site. For devices like Roku or Fire Sticks, you need to update the app.

Yeah, Marvel is well past the point where they need to make their movies accessible to new audiences.

For realism, yes, Joan Rivers was the ceiling. Granted, 99.9% of today’s comedians would kill for Joan Rivers’ relative level of fame and success.

This! I’d never heard of her or seen her in anything before Maisel, and I could tell she was going to break out big time. A few years and an Oscar nomination later, I can say I underestimated her.

KTLA in Los Angles now shows news continuously from 4am to 7pm except for a one-hour talk show at 2pm hosted by their 4am-7am anchors. Granted, a test pattern is an improvement over Springer, Povich and judge shows.

The absolute worst thing that could happen would be for this movie to be very good and leave us wanting more. Granted, I’m not expecting that to happen, and the trailer does make the movie look not horrible. And maybe, if we’re lucky, fan feedback will give us a Batman Beyond movie with Michael Keaton so many people…

I think the hard part will be finding a host who was as quick and clever as Hardwick. Even if many of his quips weren’t true ad-libs since many of the contestants’ answers were pre-scripted, when things were obviously off the rails was when he really began to shine.
