Whatever woman became the first presidential nominee from a major US party - whether that was going to be Clinton or somebody else - was never going to be the pristine and pure beacon of hope and change, etc. that any of us may want to see, simply because it takes a championship fighter to break down barriers.

Is she...against those things?

Would it make you excited to vote for her knowing you’ll be voting for someone who will make liberal appointments to the Supreme Court (possibly even more liberal than Garland), will fight to overturn Citizens United, will work for comprehensive immigration reform, actually believes in climate change and the need to

Younger women might also not be old enough to remember all the ridiculous sexist bullshit she had to put up with when the Clintons first came on the national scene.

But what if right now it is impossible for a woman who passes the liberal purity litmus test to get this far? What if just being a woman is so radical that it doesn’t leave much more room to move far left of center? What if demanding that kind of purity means never getting a female candidate because then we never get

What exactly is a family-friendly platform? One where the woman candidate promises to make cookies? Or the one that exists for the world we live in where she is trying to reduce the number of kids who die from gun violence.

Hi - why do you think you were underwhelmed? Genuinely asking.

It’s general tradition at conventions that the nominee doesn’t show up in person until the final night to make their acceptance speech. They’ll sometimes poke their head in and wave the night before, just to get the crowd going or to congratulate their veep after his/her speech, but only appearing on the final night

I agree, though I think the NY Times really nailed it.

I’ll do my part to remedy this by posting one of my favorite images of Hillary. Hillary looks like one bad HBIC in this campaign poster.

I loved when Hillary said there are also young girls out there who will be our President in the future.

Same age, same feels.

I won't lie, I teared up when she cast her votes.

They also shouted “No TPP” while Elijah Cummings was talking about his dead father. Cummings, by the way, voted AGAINST TPP so I don’t know why those assholes were chanting it at him anyway. These particular Bernie fans (said to be the California Bernie delegation) were utter embarrassments tonight.

The worst part in my opinion is that people don’t realize that even if Bernie is elected, we’d still probably be working with enough republicans in Congress that any progressive policies and/or decisions would be shot dead. The president has limited power, it would help the nation to help decide on a new judge,

She supported Bernie until he lost, and now she supports the far superior alternative to Donald Trump who also happens to share most of Bernie’s goals. Doesn’t seem complicated.

C’mon now- it’s hard to be a white guy in ‘murika. Their problems are totally more important than the rest of use. The sooner us women shut up, the faster the menfolk can get to speaking.

Embarrassing. I’ve also noticed that 100% of Bernie supporters throwing temper tantrums on my social medias are privileged white men.

I was a Bernie supporter, but guess what, he lost. As much as I wanted him to be the nominee, I absolutely don’t want Trump in office. So the only thing I can do is to support Hillary, who is now the best chance we have to keep him out of office.

Looks like she came to her senses.
