Semi-closed primaries (which CA is, because NPP voters could still vote in the Dem primary) are not arcane rules designed to disenfranchise voters. They are used to prevent party raiding by GOP voters who want to face an easier opponent in the fall (in this case, Sanders).

Psst! There will be no contested convention. The first round of votes will happen and Hillary will have enough pledged and supers to win the nomination. Just because Sanders has been bleating on about how it’ll be contested doesn’t mean it’s based in reality.

he’s one of the few non-millionaires in the Senate so he IS different.

Because it seems petty and childish. Sanders has said multiple times that Trump is the real enemy here. His shot at beating Trump is effectively over. When Hillary lost she campaigned her ass off for Obama. Of course Bernie isn’t a Democrat so he likely doesn’t feel loyalty to the party which just highlights all the

82 Democratic Reps and 29 Democratic Senators voted for the Iraq resolution.

It’s not sexist that you don’t want to vote for Clinton. It’s sexist that a guy who lost by every conceivable measure is acting like he has some right to dictate her positions.

Yeah, you’re right. It’s totally ok that we are spending $38k a day to support Bernie’s ego for all those unrelated reasons. When did we start justifying bullshit spending by citing to other bullshit spending? Oh, that person did it so it’s ok if Bernie does too (not that anything you cited in any way relates to the

Trump thanks you for your support.

And yet she conceded far earlier in ‘08 even though she was much closer in delegates to Obama. No one was telling her she had “every right to be there.” The opposite in fact.

oh yeah this looks like a legit source of evidence. It’s definitely not some lunatic that hates Hillary so much he’s willing to exit reality and join the tea party and their stupid conspiracy theories. Yeah no, it’s totally legit. ;)

Of course politicians have egos! Duh! Bernie and his stans really liked to play up the “I’m honest and an outsider! I’m doing this for the poor!” schtick. Dude no. He’s a politician like the rest of them no matter how much he and his supporters want to pretend he’s different.

As someone on Politico said last night, “There are only two options here. Either he doesn’t want to land the plane, or he doesn’t know how to.” Both of those are troubling. I don’t even begrudge him the SS detail/cost, but it’s sure symptomatic.

I’d argue that he’s ossibly more egotistical than Hillary, seeing as she did drop out once she had lost to Obama. And she had just as many followers who supported her. When it’s over, it’s over.

Is he really though? She’s been outright ignoring him for weeks. And the longer he continues this, the more likely the Bernieorbusters are to refuse to fall behind Clinton. He’s not pulling her left anymore.

To me, it’s insanely disrespectful to Hillary that he hasn’t conceded yet. He has clearly lost. It’s not a contest. She has more votes and more pledged delegates. It’s over. I would like to see him graciously admit defeat and attempt to work with Hillary. He needs to put his ego aside, call off his rabid fan base and

Whoa, wh0a, whoa. This site has been pretty impressive in NOT having a bias towards Clinton. I would venture to say that Gawker as a whole has actually been biased TOWARDS Sanders.

Lol. Oh yes, the secret service budget will immediately flow into Clintons appearance budget. GTFO.

Ah, yes, because funds for Secret Service details get converted to funds for people’s clothes. What are you smoking?

Such an old white man thing to do. Talk about income equality, eschew the opportunity to save a year of an average american salary every day if it actually affects what you feel like doing.
