179k on mine! Minor electrical glitches, but mostly good.
Yeah Detroit’s craigslist is good if you like muscle cars and crappy big 3 cars. The lower end of the market is flooded with GM, Ford and Chrysler crap from the 90s and early 2000s. The good news is that imports can be cheaper because less people want them; the bad news is that they are hard to find.
Their silence is why their numbers are down for the new model.
Wheeler Dealers is really enjoyable, but now they seem to play it very rarely, and instead have endless shows of guys with tattoos building muscle cars.
It’s the automotive equivalent of going outside in your pajamas.
FWD cars (usually) have tranversely mounted engines, meaning the crankshaft is in line with the axles. The transmission (actually a transaxle) is mounted essentially under the engine, and includes the differential in the same casing. On AWD cars derived from FWD, there is generally a shaft coming out of the rearward…
I second Suzuka. It’s a very diverse track that rewards a well-balanced car.
I reallllly want this engine in my MR2
Another thing to look at is that the average price of a new car in 1985 was about $9k, while the average price of a new car today is over $33k.
I've almost got two of the cars on this list, w00t w00t! A non-turbo sw20 MR2 and a non-zhp 330Ci.
It even says in the quote you used "with similar credit histories".
What, exactly, is the point? You've been attacking him for saying he prefers RWD.
Because T-Top and WTF
Was this reply supposed to be to me?
This thing brakes for you, car stalls, you look in the mirror and see the car behind you is not going to be able to stop in time, and you can't move out of the way because your car is stalled. And as GM has taught us, some cars are designed so the airbag doesn't work when the car isn't on. Stalling may not seem like…
Well, it looks like whatever year this takes effect will be the last time I'll be interested in a new car.
I spun my non-turbo on dry road, but it wasn't snap oversteer. I think it handles pretty nicely, but I haven't experienced the dreaded snap oversteer...yet.
Yeah I'm looking into an engine swap eventually, but not right now. Perhaps after next summer!
I was in between a Miata and an MR2, ended up finding a N/A MKII MR2 for the right price, but it wasn't easy. It's not fast but it's a lot of fun!
