I actually got to meet her once- she gave a lecture at a local university, and she signed my copy of her book. I got the impression she really wanted to talk to me, but I stupidly got very shy and couldn’t get out more than “Hi.” She was such an amazing human being. This world got so much darker today...

If it helps, I live in a very red suburb in one of those red states. This...this isn’t much better. I would prefer London.
