How long til the lever drifts?
How long til the lever drifts?
I love Nintendo but when it comes to revisiting old games I have zero qualms about pirating stuff to play them because they make it such a giant pain in the ass to play so many older titles nowadays.
Also I’m fucking tired of sometimes paying for the same SNES game each time they put it on a new console every few years.
The header image alone screams Absolutely Generic Video Game.
this is a bad analogy to make because we’re talking about different difficulty settings in a single game, not comparing difficulty settings from one game to another. “easy” is easier than “normal” is easier than “brutal” no matter how you slice it or what game you’re playing
Been reading this back and forth and the density of the people you’re arguing with is unfathomable. You are right.
“The gaming crown jewel of 2020 isn’t infallible, and Nintendo is likely about to learn that firsthand.”
You write this as if Nintendo themselves aren’t fully aware. This isn’t a live service game, and it’s always had a shelf life. Past the first year, most players who still play are hardcore players, new players, or…
It really doesn’t run poorly on the Switch though. You have really high standards. The game does NOT run poorly on the Switch. There are moments where there is some slightly noticeable chug, mostly in the Korok Forest, but it really does not run poorly, that is objectively incorrect.
“not having a choice is freeing”
uh ok
Valid criticisms, to be fair. I don’t agree with the end of the saga (I think it’s a beautiful, heartwrenching, epic finale, personally, and in line with much of the rest of the story, as opposed to being a cop-out). All that said, I do not enjoy Song of Susannah very much because it just kind of felt like... well, wha…
While I wasn’t waiting decades for The Dark Tower to wrap up, I sure as shit wasn’t burned by that series. It’s actually my favorite fantasy book series outside of Lord of the Rings.
Difficulty options do nothing except expand the potential number of people who will play the game. I don’t give a fuck if I’m cHeAtInG mYsElF out of some arbitrary experience. I just want to get through the game without wasting a lot of my precious time. And it’s the developer’s right to not include difficulty options…
My fear is that if it does come back, Miyamoto will try to force in some kind of gimmick because that’s his thing with new entries in series like F-Zero and Star Fox. It’s been so long at this point all they need to do is just do everything GX did, but in HD and equally frantic. Christ, just give me an HD version of…
“Only” 23 games in a *week*.
“Stop, stop, he’s already dead!” cried me watching Kazuya drop Captain Falcon off a cliff when his franchise has been ignored for almost 20 years
I think the timeline is fascinating, partially BECAUSE of how convoluted it is.
“Please do not do that.”
The Legend of Zelda: Tall Tall Heights
Good for you!
No snark. Glad you had fun.
The implications of this comment and the possibility of it being true have me fully torqued.
