Couldn’t say but I’m getting a very Josh Randall vibe from the photography. Some mysteries are best left unsolved I suppose.

I’m starting to wonder if something changed about system storage recently too. Never had problems in the past downloading/installing games but lately games seem to be demanding around 5 times their actual size to install. Bought Soma on sale the other day with 50GB free, had to free up 15 more to get the game to

Thumper was the first thing that popped into my head too. I don’t know why I’m so drawn to “brilliant but exhausting” but I’m a sucker for it.

Interesting. I noted in Fahey’s first article that Killer Instinct had been added to the confirmed games list in the FAQ as the ninth game, now it isn’t. Curious to see if that was an optimistic typo or a biased guarantee.

Fair enough. I know that’s likely true but I’ve seen your name pop up often enough to recognize a pattern. You’re a realist, some may say cynic or troll but I won’t, so... just let us have Skate 4. Just for a moment.

There are days when I love your pessimism and apparent desire to quietly and honestly shatter dreams. Today isn’t one.

Leo is back and taking looks! Can we get a video soon that’s just Leo saying “good morning, there’s a whole day ahead of you. Here, look... I’ve made some coffee. How about some coffee?” I want to use it as an alarm clock.

Following the Evo link in the post and checking the FAQ it looks like maybe KI already won Player’s Choice? It’s listed as one of the 9 official games there.

Fair enough! I just happen to have a specific love for the Tales series thanks to an ex. She loves the series so I would watch her play and she would regail me with the parts I missed while at work. It remains a tradition to this day, albeit in a slightly different way, so I still listen to the stories when we catch

100% respect your opinion, believe me, but this is the 16th entry in a series where this is practically par for the course. Your comment seems akin to walking in a bar and saying, “everyone in here drinking alcohol guarantees I’m not going to have fun.” Just... don’t go to the bar. Your intentions may be noble but

Wow, right for the jugular. I know it’s a reference to Jonny but I want “and Michelangelo is the worst Ninja Turtle” to catch on, I’d like to start saying it often.

I played the demo this past weekend and suspect it will actually be a really fun game but it’s much less Souls-y than I expected in feel. It’s quite good but I would consider tempering your expectations if you’re going for the “Souls in Feudal Japan!” thing everyone has been hyping.

That’s not always a bad thing, Doom was this way last year. I’m very on the fence about it but all the interviews I’ve read about details indicate they are trying to be cryptic so they don’t ruin the experience. Could be a lie and total crap but I wouldn’t count it out just because we haven’t heard too much yet.

Still trying to hit my stride in Witcher 3 so when not playing that I’ll be moseying down a river in The Flame and the Flood which I picked up for PS4 last night.

The math certainly adds up. Make it 41.5 next time it’s on sale. And I don’t care what game it is but... find a game that makes you care about games again. I had basically stopped playing for a few years but kept reading about games until Bloodborne brought me back. It felt like Mega Man X meets the first Resident

Hyper Light probably won’t chew up too much time, it isn’t super long but it can be tough to walk away from. I like your “quite quiet” bit though, an alliterative anagram. That’s tasty word food.

It’s definitely gotten to the buzzword point and can be flaccid design but I don’t feel like that’s any more true with a rogue-like than, say, an FPS. There’s some gems in every genre and unfortunately the game market is starting to look like an old Blockbuster Video wall: Classics, indie darlings, big budget titles

It does feel like there’s a lot but I still love a few of them and this one looks promising. Roguelikes let me scratch that “one more time itch” or just play a game for a few minutes and put it down. Also, they called this a “roguevania”, isn’t the more obvious term “metroguelike”?

Nice mix of glitchy hilarity and outstanding plays, thanks! Sometimes Highlight Reel feels a bit like a blooper/glitch Reel only but this was great.

I just went to the bathroom to make sure the hotness was correct. Can confirm: shit hot.
