This is appallingly well said.

Now playing

If you liked the look of this do yourself a favor and watch Trigun. It starts off maybe too goofy and that was a little off putting (for me) at first but then it becomes endearing right as they start to layer in the drama. It’s practically a different show by the end and it’s incredible. Kind of hard to trust an

I have to ask since I’m guessing your tastes are similar to mine: have you watched all of Trigun?

If you mean just quantity of good mods it seems like the Elder Scrolls stuff is in contention for best mod community. If you mean most influential mods I lean towards Half Life with Counter Strike and Team Fortress (although that’s a Quake thing first if I recall) or Warcraft 3 and DotA.

You’re not wrong and I’m not disagreeing with you. This is a friendly observation, I promise. I think your perspective is a little inverted. IV was designed to be an approachable, “you’re not out yet” fighter with things like Ultras, V is supposed to encourage that higher level play stuff... Like footsie and frame

I do not understand the no synth hot key. I find the rest of the UI pretty clean and friendly though. Once you’re at the point where you’re swapping armor between multiple characters like OP mentioned I can’t think of a standard UI that accommodates much/any better. Again though: wtf no use synth button, you’re right.

Thank you for this, I'll sleep better tonight now.

I said it before and I'll say it again: I'm calling this game Ico the Dolphin.

Living in the high desert of western Colorado at this point I feel pretty certain I am going to walk off a cliff playing this. Look for reports of “Missing Hiker, Charmander Captured” in about a year.

It’s worth saying holy shit about. I’m old(ish) and was growing cynical but I finally got around to playing Bloodborne at the start of the year and after that this year has become The Year That Reminded Me Of Why Games Are The Best Thing. It’s been relentless and seems to be pivoting on games finally refining their

This is a nicely done write-up! It got me thinking about something... Are reboots like this actually aimed at fans of the original or are they trying to capture new audiences like the original? I thought this show looked cool when I was younger but I was just a little outside the target demo and it never got its hooks

Well shit, I’m not going to be the first to buy that this time and wind up with no one to play with. On topic: you’re totally right about console optimization over a lifespan being phased out and that’s the biggest red flag for me going forward. As far as the requirement for the upgraded hardware, Sony at least has

Huh, I started to respond and then read your username... Pretty sure we played a bunch of Destiny together and that you know my brother. That’s just... super weird. Anyway, 100% agree that with the way MS is headed it’s worth going PC from here on out, at least instead of Xbox One, but play Bloodborne before you sell

It feels kind of brilliant to me. If you told me Tommy Wiseau directed this ad I would believe you, it’s that perfectly clueless. The only thing missing is a quick “SEGA!” at the end.

In fairness to Fahey (man... assonance and alliteration really makes that phrase sound awesome but whatever) the Reddit posts on the subject keep rubber-banding to the main page of r/games. This is what you’re talking about I assume: https://www.reddit.com/r/Vive/comment…. It happened quickly enough that when I first

I’m curious too. Would love to see something like Radiohead’s 15 Step run through this.

What was the railgun that shot through walls called in the first game? One of my favorite FPS guns of all time. Most deathmatch chatter was some variation of:

I estimate that, after coiling the controller cord through his knuckles and around his wrist several times, they must be playing no further away than inside the TV.

Just found out there’s a PSN flash sale so I’ll probably snag Outlast and apparently you get the PS4 copy of Journey if you buy the PS3 one so... Finally playing Journey.

Going into The Old Hunters for the first time on NG+2? Bold move. Say “blaaarararargh” to the boss for me.
