The show needs a mix. If it leaned too hard on continuity-heavy episodes it’d get bogged down in melodrama, but the worldbuilding/character development have also been really satisfying.

I thoroughly enjoyed the PB&J episode. Partly because Sandburg and Robinson have so much on-screen chemistry together but mostly because of what it’s gesturing towards, Jake retiring from being a cop.
Anyone remember Deep Blue? We should just get them to host Jeopardy
*incriminating evidence of a tryst with Microsoft’s Tay and nazi radicalization ensues*
Because everyone else are terrible people. I'm sure he could get it right with time.
If Ryan Reynolds endorses Levar Burton to host Jeopardy!, then I think it is a good idea.
I don’t know why Levar seems to be the internet’s fav choice for host. He’s a cool guy but I thought he fumbled things wayyy more than the other guest hosts.
Levar Burton on Jeopardy for [unknown contractual payout sum], please?
Can we just hire Levar Burton and get it over with?
She’s pretty terrible, a big proponent of modesty culture (which includes blaming women for their abuse based on what they were wearing).
living as an Orthodox Jewish person has nothing to do with fairy tales.
She’s nuts. Not sure why she gets a pass.
I’d prefer they not pollute the clues with unhinged Cesar Romero-like laughter.
She described her house as “a non-vaccinating household” a while back but walked it back once it started to blow up.
She’s plenty anti-vax. Just because she admitted she and her kids have received some vaccines doesn’t make her pro-vax. She’s definitely expressed some irresponsible opinions on vaccines.
It (like her problematic Israel positions) are a bit more contextual to being orthodox more than anything else.
This may be why so many people wanted Levar. He’s not the least bit problematic. *crosses fingers*
I would prefer my Jeopardy hosts to not vaguely be anti science or a sexual harsser. Is that too hard to ask?
Totally agreed, I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who noticed Bialik’s constant chuckling for no apparent reason. I had no idea who Faber was but yeah, he was pretty good.
Me: I want Levar, but as long as it’s not that anti-vax slut-shaming wacko Bialik I’ll be ok.
She wasn’t good. She gave an “I get that reference!” giggle at every pop culture question, and her contestant interviews were stiff. But I can see her doing specials like they seem to be describing.
