Impeachment isn’t about removing a President from office.  It is an inquiry into whether that President should be removed.  If the Dems start impeachment proceedings, it is a lot more likely they’ll be able to compel testimony.  It is also a justification to get the President’s tax returns.  Pelosi is playing it too

Speaking for all liberals everywhere: your mom should have done the world a favor and had you aborted.

Nah. It wasn’t bad. Just rushed, actually.

“Naw, the finale was fine. The finale would have been great if it had come at the end of two ten episode seasons that had essentially the same plot points”

“Whew. Does this mean people will finally stop talking about this show?”

Paul Blest’s tent is only big enough for Bernie Sanders and his ego.

To be fair, the United Kingdom is pretty much dead at this point...

“If this were a Marvel movie there would have been an end credits sting where Bran wargs into Drogon and finds that he brought Dany to some red priests who revived her, and then OH SHIT FAKEOUT SERIES FINALE”

Thanks for the well-reasoned response.  Sorry for being salty.  I voted for Nader in 2000 (I’m in California) and Stein in 2012 (though I kind of regret it now).  Ranked Choice Voting would be nice, but breaking up the two party hegemony is an uphill battle.  But I’m glad you are trying instead of staying home on

Whoever they nominate is automatically guaranteed to be better than Trump.

I’ll vote for Bernie if he gets the nomination.  Will you vote for the Democratic candidate if it is not Bernie?

Which, I mean, is the reason why we lost long ago, right? I mean this isn’t a new phenomenon. I’d say since Nixon we’ve (as in people who want capitalism regulated, believe in a social safety net and women being in charge of their own reproductive health) been slowly losing and now it is acutely apparent.

If the polls were so off about Hillary, they definitely were waaaay off about Sanders.  I seriously doubt he’d have won.

I think his point is that you’re a fucking nincompoop.

And this is why I will vote for whatever mouth breather the DNC puts forward.

You’re elected!

The Vietnam war was never technical a “war”.  It was a “police action” which meant that it was not necessary to get a declaration of war from congress.  Which is probably how this will go.

Ha! This is why I come here. Horrible articles (generally), but commenters that are super clever (generally - there are the boorish ones).

When has public opinion swayed Trump and co.?

This is what we’ve come to: Hoping a foreign dictator who interfered in the election of an illegitimate President can use said influence to stop a costly, manufactured war. Sounds about right.
