I mean, even people with strong Boston accents don't drop their Rs this much.

This is the article (from Vulture) - it's more about his persona, etc., but it does mention the budgetary considerations. http://www.vulture.com/2014…

More spoilers: the scenes with Dun Meng, the Chinese immigrant carjacked by the Tsarnaevs, are the best scenes in the entire movie. Truly terrifying and harrowing, even to those of us who knew what happened.

I read an interesting article a year or so ago that talked about the fact that Wahlberg had become "Mr. January." In other words, he's made a number of films that do pretty well (in terms of box office vs. budget) in that dead time in January.

It doesn't. It's pretty good, actually.

Ah yes. All women just so love being mistreated by men, so long as they are physically attractive and/or wealthy.

In its 3rd season, the show was Fox's highest rated in the 18 to 49 demographic and watched by an average of 15 million. In its fourth, it was watched by an average of 20 million. Meanwhile, one of the "top ten" shows for 1995/1996 was "The Single Guy," which shows you that the top ten is not the only way to

The X-Files was most definitely a cross-over hit.

Sam was a part of the cabal that bullied Marcel. He gets no pass from me whatsoever.

And yet, with all of that, he was still ten thousand times more likeable than Betty, Ilan, Elia or Sam.

But realistically, why not move the air date up? I mean, it's not like HBO is throwing this together in a week, this is something they had slated to air in March and I believe it's already played at some festivals. So what's the point of holding off a few more months? At least this gives the fans something.

Apparently The Accountant was a hit, though. It's made $148 million worldwide, on a $44 million budget. So he's a draw until he's not.

Mystic River is quite a good book.

I loved Argo, and still love it, but Zero Dark Thirty was a far superior film and should have won Best Picture that year.

What are you talking about? Mystic River is actually very well-written, with a strong sense of place, interesting characters, and interesting ideas of good and evil underpinning it. The only Kenzie & Gennaro book I read was Gone, Baby, Gone, which was fine as piece of pulp crime fiction but MR is clearly better

I don't think you can take anything the Doctor says seriously right after he's regenerated.

I suspect he does, just because it stands to reason that like all life, the Doctor needs some moments to rest and recharge and also fuel for existence.

I always imagined that the companions had their pick of bedroom suites, complete with full facilities. The Doctor sleeps in a cubby off of the bridge of the TARDIS.

Having just done a rewatch of the X-Files this past year, I will say that there are really some brilliant mytharc episodes, and that even in the later years, it was never as bad people made it out to be. (Except maybe season 9).

I can see that - she is young and she definitely has room for growth. I just never felt like my problems with Clara had very much to do with her acting choices. They all seemed reasonable to me but it was as if the writers were writing a different character every week.
