Lego stopped showing inspirational alt models because parents complained that there were no instructions for them. Removing the alt models is easier/cheaper than providing 3-4 full sets of instructions in each box.
I made a hoverboard with a single leafblower as a science project when I was a kid. It actually worked kind of well for about 30 seconds — then the lining burst.

A Lego set is a kit that you can buy — say, at Toys R Us or Target, or directly from Lego. Sets are produced by Lego as a commercial product. This, on the other hand, is a fan creation, with no custom parts whatsoever. No pieces were made specifically for this, just clever connections with parts you might already know.

I think I'm doing something wrong. When I open the .dmg (4S) file with jZip (or 7-zip, both on Windows 8), I'm not seeing the .ipsw file at all. Just these: 0.ddm, 1.apple_partition_map, 2.hfs, and 3.free. I understand that I need to open the .hfs, but I'm at a loss as to how to do that. Feeling like an idiot here...…
