I agree except for the part where i don’t think an NYC uber driver will drive to Boston because the NYC cap is reached.  That seems a bit extreme even for the full timers.

I mean I see your point in that a car is a car and they pay to drive it like anyone else. if we all drove at the same time nobody would be able to move, the added congestion makes the whole thing less efficient, Especially when ubers are not actively going to a destination. NYC has implemented caps on number of Uber drivers at a given time, maybe they should make a two tier cap for total vehicles and total ICE vehicles.  But yeah uber allowing people to get a taxi so easily was a nice disruption just gotta make it less abusive on the infrastructure

This was an interesting article but my one gripe is if I have an autonomous vehicle that drives me any sort of distance more than 10 minutes I wouldn’t send it home to park. If my car drove me to the grocery store why not tell it to park at the grocery store, then I wouldn’t have to time it out for the car to come…
