It’s hard to vet something like Metoo though, how would that even work? It came to life on social media, you can’t control something like that. I agree with you that it’s unfortunate they became the faces of the movement, especially Argento, for obvious reasons.

Why? It’s not as if punishment will deter other parents from making the same mistake. If anything, punishing these parents (the good parents for whom this is truly just a terrible mistake, not parents who, like, got drunk and forgot the kid) will reinforce the idea that only bad parents have this happen to them, and

Having your child die a gruesome death from a horrible mistake seems like punishment enough.

No they don’t.

The fact that Beyonce is selling a starvation diet to her fans along with body shaming messaging is pretty messed up yo!

Okay, but stepping on a scale isn’t every woman’s nightmare. The possibility of seeing a certain number on a scale isn’t every woman’s nightmare.

That stood out to me, too, that stuff isn’t exact and people take it as if they can apply it to literally everyone. People can go ahead and think I’m dishonest because I don’t make much eye contact. I have PTSD and it’s hard for me to do that, it has nothing to do with my level of honesty.

There are loads of reasons

Taylor has had hits. Katy’s last album flopped. I like Katy perry, but her career hasn’t been hot for a moment.

Agreed, we’ve already seen there’s no point in trying to placate people with the fact that PP’s services are only 3% abortions or whatever. Trying to hide or dismiss the fact that abortions are given only reinforces the idea that they are something people should be ashamed of, and they’re not.

“She is not some poor abused, starving artist not wise in the ways of the world that ended up penniless.”

True, she is not a poor starving artist—but as the article said, she has opened doors/negotiations for those artists that are. Think back to the whole streaming issue. She said it didn’t affect her, but it affected smaller artists significantly.

After sitting in many board meetings personally (part of my job), and after the garbage that was done to people like Ke$sha, Kelly Clarkson, JoJo, and countless others, I am never on the side of the record label, and am never inclined to believe whatever they put out. It doesn’t matter if you don’t like Taylor

I used to LOVE Nylon. When I used to haunt the Borders book store in my small midwestern town back in the late 90s, I felt so edgy and “with it” sipping my chai with my copies of Nylon, Detour, and The Face. I still have scrapbooks I made from my favorite bits of them when I went to consolidate them all. Sort of wish

(but somehow, it seems, not Taylor Swift)”

if I were president of the United States—when I’m president of the United States

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don’t know what to think about this. Thank you for posting it!

I dont really have any patience for those who think we can’t have a reasonable discussion about candidates during a primary. We cant have all 50 of them on the ticket come election day. We gotta pick one. So let’s talk it out.

Straight white men have already done that.

John Barron?
