Ooh the first time I saw Life of Brian was over at my high school crush’s house! I wonder where Tim is these days...

The image of the Washingtons is from the 1790s and those are two of her four grandchildren. In 1761, GW was 29 and MW 30.

You are not. Would still do now at his current age. Still love Blaine. Also he seems like the guys I tend to like who let me prattle on for hours and enjoy it. George and Martha Washington apparently had a similar relationship—he’d let her do all the socializing so he could breathe for half a second.

I work in open-air museum that has thousands of visitors—especially school children—and though security do bag checks we know there are people who bring guns on the (privately owned) property. I mostly feel safe for our visitors but will definitely start carrying lollipops. I’m so sorry you had to think of this plan

If I didn’t already have my dream history job (full time character interpreter at an historic house) I’d be all over this. My aunt knew Pleasant Rowland and my mom bought me all the Kirsten stuff including the me-sized Santa Lucia outfit (I still wear the crown at Christmas parties). I was a snob and wanted Samantha

This reminds me of the “shrug sweater” of the mid-2000s. Yes I already carry any excess fat in my belly, please accentuate that.

Can you come explain this to my parents? Because I lose my shit every time I try to and my mom says that she grew up “without” because they only had one car and only belonged to the swim part of their country club.

This is down the street from me and I was so pissed I had to work today! Hooray for SW!

Woohoo! Hope to see you guys there! I literally just pulled into my mom’s house after driving from CA to DC (I happen to be moving home just in time! Will be back in my old SW apartment in February!)! So I’ve been on the road for 4 days and may have missed the thread but I’ll spend Friday making my sign for the March

I’ll come to your funeral if you come to mine, fellow night-cheese eater!

OMG I remember that show! It was so insane! Also, I am just about to leave Coachella Valley after living here about one year. The desert is beautiful but I’m an old and if I want to listen to EDM and do drugs I can do it at home much more cheaply.

Not dumb! I held on to each shit job until the next one came along—you’re going to do great!

Love your attitude! I’ve been kind of kind of flailing in my career—thankfully employed but had three shitty jobs in three years. I knew my dream job was coming at some point and got the call in November—yours is coming! **insert cat poster Hang In There Baby!**

I study Arabic and work in museums so when I moved to a new place and had to get car I wanted a vanity plate. The word for museum in Arabic (in Latin script) is “mathaf.” My request was denied by the CA DMV for being “obscene”—-even though I explained the meaning they thought I was asking for “Math AF.” You go AL

I’m somewhere in between atheist and agnostic but Silent Night gets me every time. It’s been my favorite since I was a kid. My mom took me to midnight Mass when I was four or five and through the whole thing I kept asking her when were we going to sing Silent Night? They did it at the closing processional and the

Christmas Eve in Washington by Maura Sullivan forever!

I love mine without shame—-now I can pretend mermaid in the water and out!

I moved to California after living in Alaska for a year and originally being from the DC area. I’m about to move home and I can’t wait. California is very pretty but not my scene.

California drivers are the worst! I moved here about a year ago and bought a Fiat and I hide out in the right lane going 70.

I’m 36 and I get presents from Santa, Frosty, and Rudoph. Funny they all have the same handwriting as my mom. I also still get Easter baskets. Why yes, I AM an only child, how did you know?
