How does this game fit in with the original series? Does it occur before the big Reaper invasion? I understand that since you’re in a different galaxy, you’re removed from the events of the previous games, but are there any connections so far? (Though no spoilers, please!)

On the topic of weapon breakage, one of the biggest mistakes Fallout 4 made (IMO) was removing weapon condition and repair. It’s odd that with Fallout 4's super-vibrant crafting system, the only things that required repairs the whole game were power armor and settlement turrets/machinery.
