Huh?!?

I’ve always wondered who buys all those tires that I’ve preventively replaced over the years. (Always figured that getting quite down to the wear bars on a tire is rolling the dice. Tires have a hard life, hitting potholes at freeway speeds and all that, and generous tread means much better foul-weather performance.) I

Just a reminder that on average, the USPS mail van drives 21 miles each day at an average speed of 14 mph with ~500 stops (source: https://www.greatbusinessschools.org/usps-long-life-vehicle/)

Cant the US spend its tax dollars on something more useful? Like maybe blowing up starving kids in middle eastern nations or trying to create puppet governments for oil access? You know, the stuff that REALLY matters?

While the technical platform might be shared, the cars are not a rebadge of each other.

Disappointed this wasn’t the headline image.

There is actually a radio listed in the “accessories” :

Yes, an automaker makes money selling service parts to dealers - they make money selling parts to independent shops too. The idea that automakers design cars to be hard to service so people will take their car to a dealer for service is crazy.

When I bought mine a few years ago, the salesman did the walk-around-and-point-at-the-obvious-stuff (e.g, “gas goes in here!”) - that I usually ignore - while the plates were being put on, and I’m really glad I paid attention that time. I wouldn’t have enjoyed having to get the owner’s manual out to refill the washer

Torch should send them a picture of him stood next to the car, grinning manically, with a pair of tin-snips in hand, with nothing but the comment “I’m improving your car, you guys don’t mind right?”.

The frunk should be filled with glittery confetti and streamers, so if you do have a front collision it’s fun and festive.

I was able to take a tour of the An225 back in 1991, right after Ukraine declared its independence from the USSR. The plane was parked at the NE end of Philadelphia International Airport to take on relief supplies for Ukraine.

For that price, does it come with a spare Suzuki Jimny for when the trail narrows to less than seven feet wide?

“And why just one reverse lamp? Drivers need to see behind them well when backing up. Spend the damn money already and give them two reverse lamps.”

I’ve heard in a lot of states it’s better to flee when drunk and hitting something because then you can come back the next day and do what this asshole did and not be drunk. Of course results vary based on skin tone.

Every economy cycle is better with this configuration. Series hybrid is the best ICE setup there is, and in terms of overall lifetime CO2 is capable of beating a BEV.

My very first speeding ticket was at night on a winding stretch of road in upstate NY where the you went over a hill around a curve and hill and the limit dropped from 55 to 40. And just before I crested that hill and saw that sign, a car came screaming up behind me with his brights on and started to tailgate.

“And then he ran into my knife. He ran into my knife 10 times.”

There’s still a space issue. I spent the fall of 2019 walking and driving around France, Belgium, and Spain. There’s no way the roads (especially in the cities and towns) can handle everyone driving large SUVs. Yes they exist (I know a guy who drives an Escalade ESV in a small Belgian town) but they’re rare. I saw a
