The first woman ever nominated by a major American political party for President of the United States in our 240-year existence. And my Senator, who I got to vote for twice and who did a fantastic job representing New York (there’s a reason the NY primary was a blowout).
“for whatever reason” but supports a candidate to the right of Hillary? We know what that “reason” is.
They're just being cool girls right now, which is awkward. Like, they don't wanna act excited because it's very cool to be cynical.
But... Biden is to her right... how does that make sense for the Berners who say she’s not liberal enough? :p
I know there are still some skeptics on the Sanders side of things who just think of Hillary as the lesser of two evils but I think it’s important to point out that to Hillary supporters she’s actually the least of three evils.
Idiotic comment if for no other reason that if we had lost the Revolutionary War and stayed a British colony, slavery would have been abolished 31 years earlier. America stays and fights for a lot of things, but not all of those fights are prudent or lead to moral outcomes.
As a Californian and prior Bernie supporter, I’m actually glad for once that our primaries are dead last because Bernie has shown his true colors as a skin-deep megalomaniac who wouldn’t give an inch to get a mile, giving me time to firmly change my vote pre-emptively.
100%. I feel the exact same. The campaign he’s running now is not the same one he was running in the beginning. I’m so disappointed in him. And his supporters are out of control. He’s created a monster. And what the fuck happened to the Sanders saying they would vote for Hillary if she got the nomination?
Let’s see, we have a dude who is splitting the party that he only joined this year simply because he needed to in order to have a realistic shot of being president. I don’t know how old you are but I’m old enough to remember what that shit head Nader did in 2000 and we cannot risk that again. So yeah if Drumpf becomes…
Britain outlawed slavery-in 1833.
Fun Fact: Hillary conceded to Obama 8 years ago tomorrow—the 18 million cracks in the highest glass ceiling speech was on June 7. She was out by early June. She didn’t fucking contest the convention, she started campaigning for her party’s nominee. And this after being MUCH closer to Obama than Bernie is to her…
It’s the democratic primary, not the general election - it is supposed to be restrictive, Democratic Party members are electing the candidate to represent them. I’m registered independent so I couldn’t vote in this and it annoyed me but I accepted it because if i wanted to vote in a party’s primary I should have…
Hillary won the POPULAR vote in ‘08! Bernie is down by 3 million votes at this point. It’s not the same thing at all.
Either way you don’t get to change the rules in the middle of the game because you don’t like them. There is a process for making changes to the nomination process and whining “it’s not fair” is not the way.
Not really. It was much much closer in 2008, and the second that it was clear that Obama beat her, she packed it in and began campaigning for him immediately, long before the convention. In fact, she was the one to nominate him at the convention.
Looking forward to the part where Bernie does this at the convention then.
His ego and him being an old, entitled white man who can’t believe he’s being beaten by a woman.
