I always knew god hated socialists.

“And when I got in my truck, you know, I was so proud, because I felt like I finally drew a line in the sand and stood up for what I believed.”

I actually cannot STAND the OITNB theme song and opening visual sequence. I would be happier if I never had to hear it again.

Top Secret? No.

“Hillary Email Scandal” is this primary season’s “Fetch.”

This is true. A lot of parents do not see their children as their own person. They see them as an appendage and what worked for them must work for their child also. Which is not the case in many cases.

My daughter had a 36 hour pukefest stomach bug a few weeks ago and I was ready to literally cut off a finger if it meant she would stop and feel better and just get back to her regular self. Heck when my DOG doesn’t feel good I lose my mind. I don’t know how you can look at someone suffering and sad and uncomfortable

The mentality stems from the lack of understanding that a born child is fully a human person with individual rights as a human person. People like this act as if they feel the child is in fact one of their own bodily organs with zero individual rights.

This is another symptom of the dehumanizing of children. “It’s my child, I’ll do with it as I see fit” instead of seeing the child as an actual human who should not be a lab rat, a slave, or a chess piece.

And the poor child was sick for TWO AND A HALF WEEKS! How do you look at your child’s worsening condition and not have that gut instinct to save your child?

Someone I went to high school with developed a pretty rare kind of brain cancer (luckily he is now in remission) and he and his wife had to delete so many people on Facebook who were imploring them to try to cure it with apple cider vinegar and baking soda and marijuana. Their response was some variation of “we have

I just... I’m sorry but if my kid is obviously ill and what I’m doing isn’t working with zero signs of improvement I’d take him to the doctor. Hell I’d take him to whomever could save their life because my beliefs would be meaningless to me esp if it resulted in the death of my child.

Agreed. I just hope one day they realize, yes, you did let your son die. And it is your fault.

That is a bullshit thinly veiled excuse for sexism.

.if there is a democrat that I want to vote for and know the only way to get to vote for them in the general is to vote for them in the primary I should be able to vote, despite not being a full time democrat.

But...primaries are party processes. I don’t understand why the default assumption should be that non-party members participate in party-specific processes. I get that you want to just participate where you feel like it, but surely you understand why primaries are not always open to independents?

Counterpoint: Why should people who aren’t in the party and don’t identify with the party get to pick who the party runs as a candidate? Why should the preference of some non-member who doesn’t show up for the party in elections have the same weight as that of somebody who identified with the party strongly enough to

This is amazing:

There were 2 reasons I chose our pediatrician, and it was based on negative Yelp reviews.
