I live in Co. Wexford,Ireland near Loftus Hall, once billed as the most haunted house in Ireland. Which is saying summat. It’s been sold and being renovated as a golf resort now-we’ll see how that goes. For years it was a tourist attraction with “let us scare you” actors doing tours. Most of that was BS. But if you

“Prey response” gave me shivers! Great story!

So I worked for police dispatch in a decently sized city (in the top 15 in the US) for over a decade. This story happened somewhere after 2004 but before 2008-ish, I think.

Please delete your creative writing attempt. This is not the place.

I used to work in a hotel restaurant in high school. The hotel in question was always rumored to be haunted and I loved ghost stories when I was little, so I jumped at the chance when I saw they were hiring. I pretty easily got hired on as a hostess.

I have a few stories about my mom in this thread, so I waited a bit to write my own. A simple but powerful occurrence.

The Servant

Totally. Believe me, I’ve run through all kinds of non-supernatural explanations for what happened. But I am 100% certain it wasn’t an animal. It didn’t have hair or fur or feathers or any features at all, it was a smooth oval/round head shape. An animal would have to cling to smooth glass half the time for its head

My wife is like your husband, to a degree. She got tired of me bitching about everything that has happened the last year and a

Ah ha ha ha! Yes, I have been neglecting my poor boyfriend since this was posted, forgetting to water the plants, almost missed a deadline at work. Reading this thread each year really is one of the best holiday traditions ever.

You are not an asshole for wanting a normal home life.

This is not a story about ghosts or home invasions, but still creeps me out whenever I think about it. . .

I haven’t slept all night, so bear with me...

I’m a few days late so I doubt anyone will see this but I’ve been wanting to share it for the past few years.

(sorry for repeat, I posted this in the wrong place prior!)

Several years ago, I was living in a high-rise downtown. There were around 20 apartments per floor, split evenly on either side of the bank of elevators that ran up the middle of the building. Each floor had its own laundry room, and I would often leave my door unlocked so I wouldn’t forget to take my key and lock

my current scary story: 5 bed bugs were found in our office today :( hallllppppp

Great...I’m driving 4 hours to spend a few days with my girlfriend tomorrow. You post this today...this is awkward. I’m really going to miss her...
