Feeling the same way. I was actually playing through Mass Effect series again. I think I see what seems off. It’s that the cast is so young and the pixar style of character animation. That comedic style really throws me for Mass Effect.

This is the cycle of RPGs. You have a lump of good ones and failed ones, then maybe a couple here and there to hold you until the next lump of games.
I keep hoping to see something pop up in the like of Sunrise more sci-fi stuff but so far just more of the same. Talking stuff like Banner/Crest of the Star, Mai Hime/Otome, The Girl That Leapt Through Space, Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere and Accel World (SAO was similar but more fantasy than Sci-Fi).
Pretty sure those are just glitches in our brains. Some seem to be more buggy than others.
I carry in my coat at least one but usually two or three Red Cross first aid kits. They bear this logo and I’ve always viewed them as a health pack in the real world. Has band-aids, anti-biotic ointment, anti-septic wipes, small cold packs, unbelievably small emergency blanket (it’s tiny but open the pack and it…
Certainly. I’ve watch speedruns that were just captures of the game play and those only really were appealing if you already knew the game being played. Good commentary however can take even a boring run and make it a lot of fun to watch.
Yes, TAS runs are their own category and in a way a benchmark of the best possible results. However it takes as much or more skill to pull off than a player performing a speed run. Remember that someone had to sit there and advance the game one frame at a time, testing what each possible input would do until they…
The last one! Surprise Mortals!
I forgot about that but then only played the game once and was underwhealmed more than Dragon Quarter. There is also I believe Suikoden III where you can play as Luc and his companions during all of the major confrontations in the game.
Same here. I really miss the people I played EverQuest with. I still remember what majority of people I played with do in the real world. One older lady in particular I would love to meet sometime but she may very well be dead by now. She was traveling the world and always had cool stories about the places she had…
Not just with those particular one but a wide variety of mental conditions that cause degradation in function over time. My first guild leader on EverQuest wasn’t expected by her doctors to last beyond 2002 or so, around the time I began to really take that game seriously. Well last time I logged in was 2013 or 2014…
Far from the first. I remember as far as back SNES days you could buy those vibrator backpack things. They turned the game music into vibrations, which was particularly effective for fighting games and they were marketed as such. I had a cheap Mad Catz one, was neat in games like street fighter kinda feeling those…
As someone that works for a take out. Those of us that care about our jobs and checks do actually care about our customers. We learn what our customers like as far as doneness and portioning and try our best to meet those expectations. I don’t want to kill you or lose you to a competitor. Your essentially paying part…
Have to agree. That’s pretty much standard price for a game that’s been out as long as ME3.
It’s not even about tightness. I’ve certainly accidentally got anal when I was aiming otherwise. It does happen and if the circumstances are just right it’s incredibly easy to do as I learned. If your relaxed enough or were given a thorough massage, chances are those muscle aren’t even trying to keep anything out.…
There is a Dreamcast entry in the series called Evolution. You start as a cellular organism and work your way up using genes you find to evolve how you want. It’s a pretty fun game and has some crazy story that is rushed at you at the end of the game but is unnecessary.
Just watched Log Horizon with english dub for the first time, previously seen it subtitled. Just wish it didn’t leave so much up in the air at the end.
That was my thoughts to. What made Final Fantasy good isn’t just game play, which let’s face it outside of a few boss battles that make it worth it to hang in there isn’t the best. It’s the story even when it gets cheesy it’s still pretty good.
Star Wars: The Old Repblic isn’t Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The Old Repblic is focused on the greater picture of what the republic was. Knights of the Old Republic was focused on the fallout of the Jedi Knight’s biggest mistakes that ultimately lead to the downfall of the republic. Two games made with…
Knowing the kind of people that do home work for a living. I’m willing to wager it is under that carpet. I always enjoy demolition because you find a lot of cool old things tucked into walls and enclosed structures. For example my store had some remodeling done and we found a coke and beer can from 1989 as well as one…
