125k miles on a motor putting out a specific output of ~80hp per liter is not rare. It’s not about 500hp; it’s about how it’s produced. A 3.0 liter twin turbo putting out 500hp is going be a different reliability picture than a 7.0 liter corvette engine or in this case a 6.3 liter naturally aspirated AMG engine.

I’ve driven both, so maybe I can help out here. I would actually say the 2.0T is the smoother and better of the two engines, but the problem is people are dumb. They see a 2.0-liter four-cylinder and think it’s weak and underpowered and bad, and despite the fact that they are wrong, they still insisted upon a big V6.…

When you import one, get the 3.2 petrol-engined model, if they haven’t all rusted out. The diesels are hideously unreliable and, whilst surprisingly good to drive, will shove a red hot poker firmly up your ass at some point. If you must get a diesel pick the 2.4, rather than the 1.9 which has ruined various…

Even more so than the Giulia, this car isn’t done justice in pictures. I’m downright haunted by the image of a red one I once saw, not even with these aggressive wheels. It’s perfect from every angle.

I will have one of these and a 166 as soon as I can import them.
