If “what makes it great” is the gimmick format, then it’s not a great game, but you’re more or less correct about defeating the purpose of it existing in the first place (which is to make VR adoption mainstream, a failure by that metric).

Please don’t turn out to be some NFT garbage...
That explains some of the Lofi girl videos showing up over the past few days where she’s freaking out or other weird/creepy stuff.
Sounds like the person whose job it was to design this tattoo stole this artwork and thought nobody would notice. Somebody’s getting fired!
If you hate your children and want to scar them for life in the most ridiculous way possible, look no further. Simi Valley’s hottest new school is Donda Academy. This place has everything: floor sushi, acid water, sad recess, bathmophobia, and beige.
History will be kind to Rian Johnson/The Last Jedi for at least daring to be interesting and different. Instead, everyone filled their diapers and they panicked and did Rise of Skywalker instead and it sucked.
“Pediatricans do not take calling CPS lightly. And a CPS visit doesn’t warrant a child’s removal from their home unless the child truly is in danger. I’ve been in practice for over 10 years, and I can count the number of times on one hand in which I’ve called CPS.”
Then why isn't the baby in the hospital now? If the child is in legal custody of someone other than her parents because they wouldn't admit her to the hospital, then why hasn't that happened yet?
Lets be clear about it, this is one of those “feature, not a bug” situations.

Sometimes the naive teenager is a 14 year old highschooler, and sometimes the naive teenager is a 52 year old white collar worker.

I saw this movie last night, so it is very fresh in my memory. Spoilers below, but this is really not worth seeing in the theater, so feel free to read the spoilers, everyone!
Mass Effect: Andromeda had man-on-man, woman-on-woman, man-on-woman and alien-on-man/woman, and some of us are sad Starfield won’t let us slut around in space
Well, time to get angry at me.
Because A) it’s a trope I find boring B) having it be due to outside forces means it is repeatable. Even if only the audience knows, there’s a way to replicate it. It destroys a ton of tension about Ellie being the last hope for humanity.
1. I wonder if this addition was at all influenced by “The Girl With All the Gifts” which was published a year after the original game.
I don’t really understand the anti-Joel aspect that people have (though didn’t play the game):
1) what certainty do we have that the Fireflies would be able to extract ‘the cure’ from Ellie successfully? What certainty do we have that ‘the cure’ would even work as intended if successfully extracted? Yes, Joel…
