Its perhaps apropos that this article criticizing fan debate is written by a non-staff writer who won’t be here to engage with any of these comments.

Before I had kids, I never really understood the draw of phone games. It isn’t just the easier pick-up-put-down, but there’s intangible vibes too - I can be on my phone and still in the mix parenting, but the vibe of sitting on the couch with a controller while kids run amock just isn’t good optics.

Hey, you’re the one that started us on this path of over-explaining the joke, don’t look at me. Or ‘don’t, look at me!’ har de har

Potato potato. No one would stick a random comma there, so what is this ‘joke’ even lampooning? Typos?

This doesn’t land, because “eats, shoots and leaves” and “eats, shoots, and leaves” both read the same way in English. “Eats: shoots and leaves” is what the joke seems like it would set up, but because colons and commas aren’t interchangeable and nobody would ever read them that way, it just... it doesn’t land.

You were one of my favorite authors on here, and I loved that you often challenged readers to consider diverse perspectives on things like mobile gaming. You’ll be missed!

If the school board is going to rule that “a male character having and expressing feelings for another male character” is not a discussion of LGBTQ identity in a manner “age appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students” in fifth grade, then there simply is no “age appropriate” manner to ever discuss LGBTQ

The good news is that it’s being made by the developers behind the hit massively multiplayer online survival crafting game New World, so not only might it actually come out, it could even be good.

Still has weapon durability? Still hard pass.

And whaddya know, while the game doesn’t have a “sandbox or freeplay” mode, it now has something maybe even better: difficulty options.

Unless my reading comprehension is real low... what are the monthly free games for Essential? Is this article really only about a list of games added to Extra and Premium, while skipping what May holds for Essential??? What a weird way to do this article.

Copyright isn’t so storied a concept that doing away with it is wholly unrealistic; it’s been a 300 year experiment, pushed to its absolute limits and breaking point in the last 50 or so, and there’s plenty of ways one could imagine enforcing actual fair use and competition in a way that centered around proving actual

If I kill a person, there is a real measureable impact to and harm of that person (they are dead now).

Screaming into the void at this point, but clicking on an “Opinion >> Commentary” article should not lead to an auto-playing sound-on video. If ad revenue is the be all and end all of Kotaku these days, surely your advertisers would prefer that your readers keep their jobs?

Honestly could care less about an edgelord’s redemption story. I hope that whatever momentum or promise their career had withers on the vine, as a cautionary example to other young creators that the juice isn’t worth the squeeze when it comes to racist ‘humor.’ It’s 2023, nobody doing a racism is doing it because of a

Despite the overt racism apparent in the “Thug Shaker Central” Discord, an anonymous member told the Post that that community was not “a fascist recruiting server.”

The lede is right on: VR is an onerous stunt, and the best version of any VR game would be one where it wasn’t that.

So many Star Wars properties have set the table for a tale of how the Jedi ethos is corrupt, unnatural, and ineffectual at doing the “right” thing that needs to be done (prequels and Clone Wars especially, but also KOTOR, The Last Jedi, the final episodes of Boba Fett). So many Star Wars properties have shown that our
