All of the philosophy professors I knew were either married to former students or DTF cute gunners. Some things never change.

My ex tipped me off about this a couple weeks ago after working with her, but Hillz’ search radius was set so low you basically had to be in her neighborhood to stand a chance of popping up on her radar. Guess I should have parked around the block and creeped!
So if you someone could please sum up in a single sentence: why is this a problem exactly?
I know opinions are opinions, but I just do not understand how you guys even got through the first episode. The acting is SO flat, SO groaningly cliche, everyone looks like community theater actors in ill-fitting costumes... its just bad, really really bad. Maybe it gets better?
Battlefield Heroes is the only shooter I ever really got competitively good with, sad news. And its peppy whistle theme song is beyond catchy, I’ll be humming it for the rest of my life no doubt.
It “works,” but is plagued by 15+ minute startup loading screens, game crashing lag when browsing your collection, and an inability to display card names. At least, it did Oct-Dec of last year when I was still struggling with it, maybe they eventually after several months fixed it? Doubt it though.
As to point 1, that’s a good reason why many apps aren’t released on the Amazon marketplace even when they’re available on Google Play... but Hearthstone is offered on Amazon, and yet bizarrely works poorly on pretty much all Kindle iterations if the reviews are any indications. What device were they testing for an…
Awesome! After struggling with it being incompatible with a Kindle Fire for weeks before finally giving up, I’m gonna rush off and grab it for my LG Flex phone right now... oh, oh I see, my device isn’t compatible with this version either...
Another article from Kara talking about how white voices are at best worthy of "indifference," but more properly shouldn't be heard at all. "Nobody wants white allies to stop trying and stop fighting, but there are times when it is best to just sit down and listen." Racial violence is an all the time problem,…
I am in the middle of a trial right now, and here is a portion of the instruction that was just given by the judge on evidence being struck:
With the possibility of probation violations being reported as an arrest, I just don't agree that re-arrest rates can possibly provide a useful one-line statistic without a dozen foot notes and qualifications explaining the figure. Most first-time offenders are going to be released after serving a portion of their…
Right. Recidivism is actually a prett complex thing to give definitive numbers on, because there are so many weird factors that can skew numbers one way or the other. Are we looking at property offenses, crimes against persons, or drug offenses? Felonies or misdemeanors? Do probation violations that result in some…
15. 83% of first-time prisoners will never be incarcerated again.
A friend of mine in college was a complete asshat, and was tearing around LA or something on a rice rocket with a bottle of whiskey in hand. Got in a high speed chase with some cops, and they decided they could bring him in by pulling in front of him and brake checking... which caused him to just swerve, launch off…
I really don't get why we would have to rely on officers turning on their cameras. Cruiser dash cams are already always-on, though they don't actually make a permanent recording until the officer's overhead lights are turned on. At least locally in Alaska, turning on the overheads causes the camera to start recording…
Maybe this caught you at a bad time so you saw it how you saw it, and, on a different day, you would have responded a different way... You two (you and her) got into it, and now we got a bunch of people responding about the "right" way to handle racism in America.
See also, "You Don't Get to Have an Opinion on Anything. Ever." Really, absolutely everything (even that, even that thing you're thinking of right now. stop it.) anybody else does has nothing to do with you, in the same way. But hey, we're human, we have opinions whether they're helpful or not. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
By the last act of the film, it is clear where Luke falls on spectrum of good and evil
You have to pay to play: Ballot initiatives are expensive. For starters, getting them on the ballot requires an intense campaign of lobbying and collecting signatures. And then, during the elections, the advocacy money spent by the opposing sides of the issue can rival the amount spent in a race between two candidates
Violence is currency, as Jim knows; a glut of it causes inflation and a resultant loss in value.
