I bought a new Subaru a few years ago without getting jerked around by anyone at any point in the process. It was bizarre.
Actually, they all have problems. The difference is they’re more risk averse so they are more careful on how they plan/design things to address the problems or avoid them altogether.
And to add... When other (older) car companies lay off workers (union or not), no one bats an eye. When Tesla does it, “OMFG! Call the ethics police!”
As someone who’s parent has been in a union for more than half his life he’s talked more than once about some insidious stuff they do. That said I’m not saying unions are evil, but people like to believe a union can do no wrong.
LOL, ‘journalistic integrity’. Like that’s a thing any more. Nowadays, it’s all about breaking the news FIRST. Like the author had to reiterate in this article jalopnik did with the firing scandal.
‘The hottest places in Hell are reserved for those who in time of moral crisis preserve their neutrality.’
And there’s no way Donald Trump will win the Republican nomination!
Great, all the idiots who flunked history are now running the government.
For me, Chromebook is a perfect “2nd computer” only.
Without question: yes.
I already have one...but yes. I’d buy my girlfriend one so she stops using mine and leaving the battery run almost all the way down.
If it can seamlessly switch from Chrome / desktop mode to Android apps/tablet mode with touch at the price of current Chromebooks then hell yes.
I have owned several Chromebooks and really like them: fast, light, and perfect for so many tasks. This announcement broadens their user-friendliness and means Android’s OS is maturing, so I will buy another Chromebook when the two I now own reach the end of their useful lives.
If you’re trying to argue that most of the people who pirated it would’ve bought it if they had no other option, I’m calling bullshit.
If I understand this, the timing should be the same. Whether the pasta is at 180 degrees or 212 degrees, it should be actually cooked the same amount. So if the package says 7 minutes at boiling, 7 minutes at any temperature above 180 should do the same cooking.
So if the kid’s over the limit, they toss their food in the trash?! WHY, YES, THAT WILL CERTAINLY SAVE MONEY. You know, since 1.70 was a fucking firing offense, even after the worker tried to reimburse their employer themselves; it must be due to funds being so very, very tight.
Oh I'd love to see the lunch room workers "supervisor." I can only imagine what an utter asshole this person is.
The fact that she was fired in the first place should not be swept under the rug just because social media pressure worked in this one case. Lean hard on these sacks of shit that’s the only way real change is made.
