Methinks Erdogan likes the idea of a new buddy, one who won’t criticize his drift to authoritarian Islamism.

The Chinese have not put a copy of the F-35 into production.  They are behind in stealth, engine, and sensor technologies to say nothing of manufacturing technologies for the same.  They are catching up quickly, and their espionage efforts cost the US precious time off of its leadership position.

So is the F-16 (especially in Block 70 guise)

He must be rolling in his grave now

I suspect AWD will be an option in the future, and the front wheels will be electrically-driven as this platform morphs into a hybrid or, potentially, all-electric setup.

Typically the last opportunity for an aviator to fly combat missions is at the rank of Captain (O-6), and that would be as the CAG (Commander Air Group) of the Air Wing detached to an Aircraft Carrier. That person could be in their late forties to very early 50s.

Under 3,400lb curb weight, same drive train across the launch range. Base model should accelerate about the same as one configured with the Z51 package.

Except for all of that spendy BMW gear in the Supra.  There’s only so low they can go.

Plus, you don’t want to buy the first year of any US model.  Might as well wait until ‘21

Base model and Z51 have the same powertrain and should therefore have nearly identical acceleration figures.  The Z51 package will provide better braking and lateral grip.

Making the fronts electric drive as part of a future hybrid or all-electric option could be an easy way to do it.

They had to do it.  There is nothing else nearly as compelling from a design, performance, or impact perspective anywhere else in GM at the moment.  They uglified the Camaro, are slowly killing Cadillac, and only have eyes for China with Buick.

The engine, power figures, transmission and gearing ought to be the same between the base and Z51 packages, so 0-60 ought to be near identical.  The Z51 should see improvements in braking and grip.

You mean aside from the Camaro 1LEs, Z/28s, and Corvettes of the last 6 years that have won multiple “Best Drivers Cars”, Head-to-Head competitions, and been named to Top-10 lists my major auto mags?

Glorious NA V8 bellow > strangled turbo 4 wheezing

Willing to bet the drivetrain on this thing will be very reliable, especially the pushrod motor.

The seem more like franchisees.

Time to start a ride-share in a food truck business. You could sit at a bar inside a converted RV food truck and grub out as the driver slogs through traffic.

God Hates Who Deys.

That and jumbo lump crabmeat in a Bloody Mary rimmed by Old Bay.
