US military goes far far far away to play on someone’s front porch on the order of politicians. Foreign country does something. American people are supposed to be offended. Politicians get the war they want. Decades later americans find out it never happened the way they were told.

Let us try not being offended this

That’s been said about Russia before.

Many things:

That was because somebody over here was playing "global thermonuclear war." :-p

Russianized? That means adding a dash cam, right?

And now, we're back to this:

Made me think of this picture -

The Marshal Ustinov leaving Hampton Roads, 1989

"if those who keep crying for war would actually have to fight it, we would have eternal peace" — Please tell me that you are engaging in hyperbole; if not, you are, at best, incredibly naïve. Please tell me; who forced the Mongols to go on the move, conquering other tribes and then nations until they established

"We have no masterplan to start World War Three. Just facilitate the take over of America through China."

"NO. We don't like each other or what the other stands for. Next question."

That photo of Russian and American ships in port together is really cool.

I've never heard a Russian say "I want to go crush the NATO aggression. Or I want to kill Americans or Europeans". And yet, the Russians have crushed Hitler's Wehrmacht, and Napoleons Le Grande Armee. Why is it always so convenient to demonize Russia, push them to the edge, until you get your butts handed to you by

2000 pounds impacting a target at mach 3 has quite enough energy to function completely without explosives. 750 pounds of HE is quite superficial really. F=mv^2. That missile would knock a very big hole in a carrier, much less a destroyer. Pump a one ton titanium or depleted uranium projectile up to mach 7 and it

It definitely doesn't look enhanced with that firepower, actually if anything I sort of expected a little more - I'm ex-Royal Navy and have seen various old/empty ships used for target practice.

Some good thoughts there Paul. Thank you for sharing.

Of all the terrible press Russia is getting lately, this is the one that concerns me the very least. I'm not a russia apologist, at least, not anymore, but I don't see why the western world is so angry at Russia for trying to maintain a black-sea fleet when the very reason Russia wants a fleet there is because NATO is
